I never noticed before, but Yuusuke's face is always covered. I guess its to give variety in the perception of his face based on whose playing his character in the game. Kinda like Blue in the Pokemon series. :)
@newsearching well.. almost all protagonist from a visual novel have her face covered by hair or something.. ^^ remember da capo, suika, shuffle, air, clannad, bla bla!
@rafael0000 umm shuffle i remember seeing Rin's embarrased face very clearly when he was walking under the umbrella with Sia, cause he looked cute:P but you're probably right about the rest
it's very common, especially in older games like those
