i used the information in this video for a graduate level paper (final) ... i gave you credit, as ethics demand; however i had to use your screen name. nice work.
Thank you. I too prefer (Выготский) Vygotsky's theory over Piaget. Yet Piaget (I think) opens more doors to creativity. In the end every child is different: some need constant assistance in almost everything (and that’s not bad), while others learn better when left alone (assimilating and accommodating).
Piaget is Nurture and Vygotsky is Nature, why choosing 1 or another, why not assuming they're both right. These are only observations, they do not tell us how the brain of children devellop..
the world of ideas is fascinating especially the Theories of Learning. Let us all be life-long students of learning. I heard texas tech is a great school. however go-Pokes (OK State)
I really thank you for this video because I used it in a class presentation in a Graduate School class when I presented on Vyotsky on the date of this posting. It really enhanced the presentation and explained the difference between the two psychologists theories very succinctly and quickly. During the question and answer period of the presentation, it actually was the question the professor originally wanted to ask me at the end of the presentation. Thanks!!!
I think your video is brilliant. I'd like to pick your brain if you have a spare moment. What do you believe is the active roll of the child in Piaget's and Vygotsky's theories? And how do you think a child would develop differently if it were not active in those domains of development?
This stuff is common sense, I don't understand why these are theories and these guys are getting credit, when it's something you already know just by growing up.
Now when I will think about Piaget and Vygotsky..imma think Ma-ia-hii Ma-ia-huu Ma-ia-hoo Ma-ia-haha!

@Warlykan I think you meant the opposite: Piaget is Nature and Vygotsky Nurture.
