Actually the wheel was invented by Assyrian forefathers, the Sumerians in Mesopotamia. The Assyrians of ancient times invented the modern calender, the time (one day being 24h, 1h being 60 min etc), the 360 degrees, second degree algebra, the world's first military technology with the worlds first tanks, the foundation of today's democracies (having a king that divided the country into federal units etc).

Our Assyrians forefathers are the Akkadians who gave birth to the Assyrians and Babylonians (being of one stock with one language). The Sumerians and Akkadians mixed and constituted all of Mesopotamia. We, Assyrians are direct descendants of Mesopotamia being the original people of the area as proven by tens of professors. About Greeks getting a lot of credit is of course nothing new. Most of their ideas came from the east in Mesopotamia which is clearly a scientific fact. The Greeks contributed to the world by mostly developing the ideas and science that came from Assyria/Mesopotamia. compared to all of the Iraqi people (Includes every ethnicity) Assyrians make up 3% of the Iraqi population, thats about 700,000 to 800,000 people. kurds make up 15-20% of iraq (4 mil) and are able to claim 3 provences of Northern Iraq(Assyria). Most assyrians live in northern Iraq (700,000 ppl) so if northern iraq was gypsistan then compared to the total population of kurds only, Assyrians would make about 30% and along with others it would be about 40%, so we can still claim some our land!

Assyrians in Kurdistan are Kurdistani citizens and they make no more than 3% of the kurdish nation. This is reality today. USA meets with kurds, Britain meets with kurds, the EU meets with kurds, the Australians, Norwegians, Africans..etc. All has contacts with Kurdistan.

you are really amazing!! We all know the assyrians were at least 15% of Iraq before 1960. It was the arabs in Iraq and Islam that massacred the assyrians and not the kurds. It started when the Iraqi army killed 3000 unarmed civilians back in 1936. Afterwards and specially by the 60ies many assyrians were forced to leave Iraq because of Islam. The reason you find assyrians mostly in Kurdistan today is that the kurds are tolerant and peaceful people.

Kurdistan existed even 4000 years ago. Xenofon the greek historian who lived around 2000 before christ mentions about the kurds and Kurtdistan exactly within the same area as today.

Nothing about history, habibi first off I've studied the Ancient Near East for 3 years particulary in Assyriology (History of all Mesopotamia) and Ancient Persia. The Akkadians were natives of Mesopotamia. The first mention of the Qardu people were North-East of Assyria by Assyrian annals and Ancient Corduene was located in modern Western Turkey. Kurds were never native of Northern Iraq that is a fact, they migrated there and captured Assyrian villages by force.
