I like hard rock songs so I am not that much into Yngwie, prefering the likes of Blackmore, Iommi and Shenker. But I have no doubt that Yngwie is a master of the guitar and I do enjoy his playing.

Ya know, I believe this man to be an amazing guitarist... I know a lot of guitarist that have tried to be him, but his grasp of the neo classical movement is far superior than any other I have heard. That said, I have never been a fan. I love shred... Learned every song off Passion and Warfare, and Flying in a Blue Dream, but Yngwie never drew me in. I am amazed at his accuracy and tone. Saw him in Germany at a small venue... Nearly blew my eardrums out. Never really been drawn to him...

The melody that starts at 1:08 has always been one of my favorites. My dad was a classical pianist, and even in his 50s before he passed away, he admitted the Rising Force and Marching Out albums were amazing. This goes into Far Beyond the Sun in this show if I recall. Now that's a mindblower of a song!

I think the best part of Yngwie is that he brings classical music to a rock audience. I think that is really impressive, and very difficult to do. Both classical and rock fans are generally pretty segregated.
