@DragonRoLo There are several preventative mods you have to do to the QR25 before it will handle abuse... Main one is the Pre-Cat delete a.k.a put on a Catless Header. And you have to locktite the butterfly screw for the secondary intake runners so that they don't back out and get sucked into the motor...

spec v 2.5 turbocharged vs evo 2.0 turbocharched, sentra would have more power per pound especially since its not awd which adds weight. if the race was from a dig expect the evo to take off about 1-1.5 car lengths before the sentra starts picking up and smoking it.
it's not that if it was AWD it adds weight. the evo engine is distributing power to 4 wheels as the spec v is only transferring power to 2 wheels. there's latent HP from the crank that's being lost due to the complex system of AWD. and also there's no replacement for displacement. 2.5 beats 2.0. you're totally correct though, from a dig the evo would have won regardless.

WoW ! i haven't seen SpecMe's Turbo sentra in like forever! this video started it all for me wanting to turbo my 02 spec-v. i remember his best 1/4 mile run was like a 13.0 at like 108 mph on 10psi... i remember seeing the track videos he was racing against an Evo when he ran those numbers... Now the spec-v's are in the low 12 seconds the best one i see is Boostadic's 02 spec-v running 12.0 @ 120 MPH. still love the QR25's maybe one day i'll get a spec-v and turbo it!

it's not that if it was AWD it adds weight. the evo engine is distributing power to 4 wheels as the spec v is only transferring power to 2 wheels. there's latent HP from the crank that's being lost due to the complex system of AWD. and also there's no replacement for displacement. 2.5 beats 2.0. you're totally correct though, from a dig the evo would have won regardless.

that wouldn't be fair because the evos have awd. i think it was a fair race. ppl underestimate spec v's. yeah they're not that fast n/a but they are a beast when turbocharged...but i agree the evo needs to be tuned, he probably just upped the boost..you still need to adjust the fuel and the ignition timing and shit

Well....considering the evo's are about 300 lbs. more than the spec I would say that it would be about dead even if you killed the weight......but I personally enjoy specs......Go Nismo!

JK u are half right tho 19 psi up to 5000 or 5500(can't remember), after which it drops to about 16.5 psi. in the vid he mustve had EBC to bring it up to 20 and leave it at 20 if so it makes a difference

@559EBU that evo had no tune... with a tune it would smoke the spec v, and... are you out of your f***en mind?!?!? spec v are no where close to being a "good" car, let alone better than an evo. that evo can break well into the 10's with bolt ons only and still perform amazingly on the track. the evo was designed for performance, the sentra was designed to go to the supermarket.

RICE ALERT!!!! buddy, you can do your vq swap and turbo it. build your engine, do wtvr the fk you want to it. the evos engine is better than the vq and teh car is designed to handle it. there are evos over 1000 awhp and 800+ awtq running 6s 7s 8s 9s. and not just 1 or 2, MANY....
so stfu, and compare your pos to something in its class, like a civic or a forte maybe

WoW ! i haven't seen SpecMe's Turbo sentra in like forever! this video started it all for me wanting to turbo my 02 spec-v. i remember his best 1/4 mile run was like a 13.0 at like 108 mph on 10psi... i remember seeing the track videos he was racing against an Evo when he ran those numbers... Now the spec-v's are in the low 12 seconds the best one i see is Boostadic's 02 spec-v running 12.0 @ 120 MPH. still love the QR25's maybe one day i'll get a spec-v and turbo it!

Sentra Spec-V....the best bang for you buck. This guy took advantage and threw a turbo kit on there and starts stomping cars 10,000 more than what he paid. And they arent even near 10,000 cooler. Nice vid.

I own BOTH cars.. However this specv on 8 psi is pretty ehhh ALRIGHT.. If he raced a 9with just bolts on that spec would get raped. As for me I got a Fully built spec with a Custom turbo set up.. Modded SC61 Hybrid. So the SpecV on 8 psi is more like a 80 Shot Spec V. turn the Boost UP! =] Either Way Good Video.
