I love your videos: They are informative and creative. However, I have a huge request. Would you change the background music? something more soothing or not as noticeable. I think the music sometimes overrides the tutorials. Thank you!!!!
@chinkyq Certainly! That's why I mentioned it being better for demonstration and such for them to be still, but there's no reason they should be staring into the middle distance between application & during general tasks, like in this video. The model was much more reserved during the detailed work. It was the liveliness at the beginning and when doing the interstitial shots that I was enjoying. I don't dislike the other method, I was just being appreciative of this model.
Also just have to add that my application technique has changed dramatically since finding this channel, now other MUA's appear to be harsh with application, some almost violent with the foundation brush! Ms. Jung Sae Mool has such a gentle hand!
(I wish I knew Korean so I could adequately appreciate and respond to her videos and learn more about her. I hate to ask but does anyone have any english links they could share with info on her career/expertise?)
I'm not sure if I've a western view but I really enjoyed the model reacting and smiling and moving her face more than others tend to in these tutorials. I appreciate the precision and ease of demonstration with a very still model, but it is refreshing to see emotion, that they aren't just mannequin heads. :)
@subgirl if u think about it my dear...when u apply makeup wen u're smiling and eyes moving/ creasing....making moon shapes and things, skin is stretched.....its HARD to apply makeup. its good practice when having ur makeup done to hav a straight! they HAVE TO BE like mannquin heads....its jst uncomfrortable for u to look at cos u're watching the video.
@chinkyq One thing, not only for filming purposes, but also Koreans do know that a lot of facial expressions during makeup can make the application not quite right; too much put on than necessary, for example when you stretch smile, like most girls tend to do universally, and put your lipstick on
@TinaNg0905 i think she has one already. she used the same model for the pearl brightening look, the retro look and tangerine orange look. it has like a lot of steps. i'll try to look for it and give you the link. :3
@jing9yi9 I'm not trying to offend you, but I just want to make a point.. Many who's not korean say that many koreans get jobs done, and probably some extent it is true; but when it is natural, people still tend to make comment about how they appear. Such an irony.
what is the brand of the concealer and powder used in the first two steps? also, what lip gloss do you put on the models at the very start that is that pale pink colour?
I like her nose :) and her skin is amazing. she's really beautiful.

her nose is fine...I don't like to see korean girls who all look the same because they go to the same plastic surgeons with the same demands...

gradient lips must be a big thing in korea...

@ltje06 I know! I tried the gradient lip thing on myself and it looked very odd. I guess it looks good only on certain people :(
Namini11 4 months ago
@ltje06 it certainly is. there was one celebrity that had it in soap opera and everyone loved it and started putting on themselves.
