I'm almost positive that the city is called Pusan not Busan I have some freaindes from Pusan but have never heard of any city called Busan

It's both. The ㅂ in 부산 can be pronounced like a 'P' or a 'B'. It's somewhere in between in terms of pronounciation. Korean cities sometimes get different spellings in English and both are right.

@mrwatermelon3 In the original romanization of Korean that became standard in roughly 1937 the letter ㅂ when used on the top was written as 'p'. In the revised romanization system which has been used since 2000, and in my opinion the much more accurate romanization, it is a 'b' when used on top. So 부산 is translated as Busan, and not Pusan. Much the same as another major city that is often written as Taegu, but is now referred to, and more accurately so as Daegu.
