I am agree that is one of the best famous composers of XX century. do you like Capriccio? I love that, is so interesting and I love thi kind of autoreflectionist operas.

I've not heard Capriccio yet - there's a bit yet for me to listen to in Strauss's works, but what I've listened to has been fabulous (Der Rosenkavalier, Arabella, Alpensinfonien, 4 Letzte Lieder, Till Eulenspiegel, Also Sprach Zarathustra, etc.). I love his operas because they, indeed, are more thoughtful and have more interesting characters than usual.
