I must get my two budgies mating soon it is summer and then my female only 1 year is the only bird i have and she is bending down like that and there is nobody to get on her but ill get a male and get them mating!
@mattfishman123 she did lay eggs, but sadly, even after all this work, they weren't fertile. I think that was the second clutch too.
The last time I put in the nesting box, which was a year ago, it created havoc in the cage as I then had 5 females and only one male. I doubt I will try breeding them again anytime soon, although it'd be cool to see what colours I would get :)
When a female budgie is ready to breed she'll mate with the male several times before she is ready to lay her eggs! If they mate this much, there will def. be babies. They certainly get it done!!
