@JocoG23 this is much more powerfull, I drive Rotax max senior myself. But when i ride with someone with a shifter, they have such more power out of a corner and when they shift up to 5 or 6 gear. And also they can brake much much later because they got 2 front brakes and 1 rearbrake. Rotax max has just 1 rear brake.

I have to agree with Thav, from a world class racer, your lines where very good, and he made a few mistakes. When you outbraked him at 4:50 though, that should have been the move you pulled within a minute. But great driving love to see more vids ;)

Awesome driving man. Love the kart too. Question tho. When you down shifted into first from second, what rpm's were you at cause they seemed pretty high. Im asking cause whenever i practice in the dd2 i usually wait till im at about 5 -7 thousand and then i drop it. I once down shifted at about 10.5 -11 i think it was and blew the motor. So I was wondering at what rpms you shift down at cause i still head the engine whining when you did.

Hi, Just as leaving the brake rolling a few meters shifting down, turn in and get on the throttle. If you cluth on the rear axle works this should be no problem

Ok thanks a lot man. I actually figured out how to properly do down shift about a week ago. Unfortunately though, I won't be driiving the dd2 for a while because we let my uncle try it out when we went to a track out in indiana. Well he drove right on top of a rumble strip and somehow managed to crack the chassis :(

It cuts the ignitien when you shift to higher gear. This means that the engine is just running not pushing. This makes it easy to shift. Just like leaving the throthle, just faster.

The shifter is losing ground mid corner so it's not all about the driving.

He's quite obviously on a slower tire.

It's what the shifter does,drives hard out of the slow corners and low speed in second gear so even when he gets a bad line in the slowest corner just explodes out of it.

If it were a direct gear kart rather than a DD2 it would show even more.

The DD2 driver is very good. The KZ2 driver brakes a bit early, and takes a not so good line sometimes - but still drives pretty well. A shifter on hard DDH tires is no picnic when it´s cold in Denmark - which is pretty often. Make some usefull comments, or don´t comment at all.

testacorsa150 take your head out of your ass and listen to what i'm going to tell you for a s SECOND time-shifter karts are 35+hp, a DD2 is not more than 32hp, given 2 equal drivers a shifter kart will easily outperform a DD2 kart.

To see for yourself check out the track time of shifter karts in Italy compared to ANY other karts then open your illiterate mouth

KZ2´s mostly have about 42hp before tuning. A DD2 is 24kw (32,6hp), with only 2 gears. So OFCOURSE a KZ2 is faster - did I say it wasn´t?

The chassis allowed in both classes are the same, but the tires are NOT. So if you add corners to the equation, the kart on the softer tires is faster - the DD2.

All in all I think we agree on that. What we don´t agree on is your lame comment that both drivers suck. You obviously don´t know what you see - Grow up.
