Your tamagotchiis not a real one, a real one has 'tamagotchi' on the top and is from Bandai.

Fake tamagotchi's are easilly broken and will give an error more often than the real ones..

it's not a fake tamagotchi, it was the version b4 the version 1 came out...thats y there isnt an infra red connection on top of it, and only japan sells these kind.
