Fight club's twist is that this movie is directed for hyper maculate men, but the jokes on them. Palahniuk just got every guy who see's this movie and feels that connection, to get aroused at a bunch of sweaty guys rollin around on the floor, mixing bodily fluids and what not. that is his genius.
