Problem with uploading Flip Ultra Videos:

(1) If you upload in H.Q. the sound quality is bad. (Hissing sound in the background)

(2) If you upload in HD--anything over 2 minutes takes ages to upload.

@sliotharball thats not true! if you convert the file into wmv. it doesn't loose much quality (its not really noticable) and its very fast to upload. my 4 minute HD film took 40 minutes or less!

the kodak zi8 is alot better i mean you can go 720p in 60 fps per sec or record in 1080p. flip only goes 720p 30pfs. i took it back after two weeks and got the kodak now im happy same price too.

depends on if its the 32 bit version of vista or 64 bit.. you can up the quality in the tools tab as well hope this helped

Your camera record in 720p, thats a great quality and the current quality on youtube.

After you upload a video you have to wait 30 minutes or even 1 hour to the quality be in HD.

you have to save it to your computer.don't upload it straight from flipshare it will just be HQ!

To upload in HD you must download the video in flip then go to youtube and upload the file you saved. The flipshare software does not upload in HD but if you upload directly to youtube using your 720 file it will save in HD. Hope this helps

yes that is correct. I spoke to the flip folks and they advised that they did not currently support HD uploads to youtube.

I just got the Ultra HD and I was wondering how you were able to import (upload) videos from the camcorder in HD and not just high quality? The videos I'm uploaded to my mac doesn't look as nice as this.

yes it is i have a mac and i use it just fine and when you plug it into a mac it looks just like a flash drive on your mac screen, you open the file and theirs flipshare software built into the camera. or you can dig into the video arcive of it and just pull out the video.

the flip ultra hd is not even on the flip official website yet, its that new.. but it takes AA batteries and its twice as fat as the flip mino hd

i like the ultra hd better. i just got an ultra but im going to take it back to get the hd one. i think the new ultra hd is better becuz if u r at a park r someplace and the batteries die u can change them unlike the mino that can only can be charge by labtop.

I think the Ultra HD has clearer video and audio- judging from comparing this footage from the Kodak Zi6's footage.

Not sure. That may be from my cheap tripod or I used the flipshare software and then uploaded to youtube from the file instead of from the software. I actually took this back and got the Kodak Zi6. BB has this onsale for $129 and used a gift card and got it cheap. I have a video uploading now for the Zi6

The footage looks a bit like it's stuttering -- is that direct from the camera, or does it have something to do with the encoding/youtube?
