I actually own the later 2823 also with the 4072 filter and I had the signal (audio) path improvement done on it, and it sounds way beefier than the 2 pole White Face. As a matter fact I also have a Minimoog D and i would say that my moded 2823 Odyssey can sound as Ballsy .
Technically it's a duosynth.

Two beautiful instruments.... classic. I think that the 2-Pole VCF sounds better than the later 4-Pole ones; it's just more ballsy.
