In s. ossetia - real name is samachablo - the king of Georgia brought people from northern part of Ossetia to inhabit the land and thus marking that it was Georgian land. In Tskhinvali there are likely approx 150-200 dead. Tskhinvali is in ruins - so likely this number will increase.
Bu remeber, that Georgian troops where in Tskhinvali and Russia bombed Tskhinvali also. So it is impossible to tell who killed these approx 200 (confirmed in deadhouse) civilians.

Poland, Baltic States, Bulgaria etc. where independent before Imperial Russia (until Peter I). There where Swedish and Danish law, but they where free with their own language, traditions and etc.

MrsHarryStreet, you didn't get it. Caspian countries sell their oil to the West, and this oil is transported through Russian territory. Before the conflict,they could build new pipelines in Georgia, thus finshing their dependency on Russia. For Russians it would mean losing their last "friends" and being surrounded by countries that would have potential to become their enemies.

Georgia with full support of USA began bombardment of capital city of Ossetia. Government of Georgia lives on money of USA, they do all only in accord with USA. It means this war was necessary to USA instead of Russia. And now USA is afraid of truth and accuses of all Russia.

There Russian schools are occluded, the government Baltic urges Russian to forget their natural language and culture. Also government of Baltic try to change history and to humiliate Russian soldiers. In Estonia discarded the bronze monument of the soldier - deliverer and transferred it without the approval of the Russian.

Russia afraid that the West will be able to deliver oil from Caspian countries(Azerbaijan, Kazakstan, and Turkmenistan) through Georgia, instead of Russia. If this would happened, Russia will loose its monopoly and would not be able to manipulate these countries. It is not only about Georgia. Russia is using brainless separatists from Ossetia to control impotent strategic region and ways to distribute oil from third countries.

When the conflict has begun, BBC truthfully told about that that occured. And Russian were as peacemakers, but after performance of the USA, Russia became suddenly an aggressor. Though if we shall recollect 1992 Russia has rescueed the sovereignty of Georgia after Georgia has begun war with Abkhazia and has lost for it. The Abkhazian armies in 1992 stood near Tbilisi and only peace-making mission has stopped bloodshed.

ok i will tell you what happened. In s. ossetia - real name is samachablo - the king of Georgia brought people from northern part of Ossetia to inhabit the land and thus marking that it was Georgian land. Before the brakeup everything was fine and everyone lived together. After the Brakeup of USSR some dumbasses in s. ossetia though it would be a good idea to make their own country. Since russia wanted the land it lost, it supported those that wanted to seperate and carry russian interests.

are you serious, being a ally to russia is the worst thing that you can do. It only uses you. Russia was never supporting Georgia, they were always trying to annex georgia. History tells alot. Georgia has offered alot of benefits if s. ossetia or abkazia cooporates with Georgia but Russia, the one who is controling both of them, always says no to co-oporating with Georgians. russia has been historyicaly our total enemies.

Now abkazia was allways Georgian land because 2/3 of the people there were always georgian. Up until the 1992 when the war started most of the population in abkazia was georgian. think about this. before the war in 1992 there was about 600,000 people in abkazia, after the war there was only ~80,000 people left they were all either russian or abkazian.

2) Russian was always supporting Georgians and I believe that if the Georgian President could handle this in a clever manner without involving NATO and USA, then Russians could stay happy and Georgians too. Poor dems realized that it is a set up and immediately changed their response about the war in the region of SO and Georgia, but it was too late:( Anyhow, I think I figured it right, time will show if I am right.
