  • shivers, shivers everywhere, this and Turrican main theme. See what we can do with 1 mega 4 ?

  • @wankaru 512ko in this case, the game was running on a 520 STf :O

  • MEET YOUR DOOM !!! HAHAHA !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jochen Frikkin' Hippel!

    TEX rules man.

  • Bloody hell, this brings back fond memories from way back in the mid 80's... I wasted SOOOO much time with this on the good old Atari 1040STfm (and before that on the Atari 520ST+)

    Anybody remember the B.I.G. Demo?

  • @baswientjes LOL. On an old school gaming nostalgia youtube safari. And one thing I find is a comment by my own brother (^_^)

  • a two headed-eagle! a freemason was in it!

  • Yeeeeaaaaaahhhh! Turn it loud and fly through the past.

  • Drums are great on the Atari ST - even some strings sounding better than the Amiga-Version.

Expect the very first drum in the beginning. No echo?

  • @SarahKreuz31: As far as I remember (and it has been a long time) on my 1040STf the echo does sound. In de 90's I recorded the song using a TV hooked to my PC to make a wave file of it. Need to look it up and verify.

  • The best Atari ST track ever!

  • Jochen Hippel... One of the best.

  • MEET YOUR DOOM HA HA HA HA HA.

  • One of the best title songs in Atari ST history!! I was so proud of my Atari ST, specially when I compared it with the "lame" Amiga version :-)

  • yeah, and probably the ONLY ST game better than the AMIGA version.

  • The two versions of the game are exactly the same, the only noticable difference is in the sounds (musics in .mod for Amiga and soundchip with digidrum for the ST, i noticed the tempo of the musics is slower on Amiga) which is just a question of taste i think.

  • that's right my brother, and you confirm my view.

considering the lack of power of an ST in front of an amiga, and as the game is the same on both, the ST version is mathematically better.

(and as a music producer, i'm using the drums of the ST version, wich totally rocks !!!)

  • @estebann : For sure, the game is cool on amiga, but nothing more.

  • @estebann no Falcon F-16, Midwinter 1+ 2, ... were all better on the Atari ST. Not to forget Lemmings where you could play the multiplayer without a second mouse

  • THE UNION!!! yeah

  • Man, this is one of my favorites tunes on the ST! (the other one was the intro of Turrican I-II) I remember listening to it a thousand times.

Thanks for posting, brings back good memories.

  • I Had the Amiga version and it was really awesome

This theme is Great ton the ST as well, the man made miracles especially for the ST chip that was pretty weak to begin with.

The Drum samples here are just great maybe even better than the Amiga ver. But the in game speech of the Amiga is something uber cool!

  • The best song in ST!!

And the game is very nice!

  • probably he did all his work on atari because like u said he was a musician and usually musicians prefered stuff like Cubase and hardware synths(Musical Instrument Digital Interface) for their serious projects ...and not crappy mod and ym trackers

  • Nice.. For some reason i don't have the title music on my STE version (cracked). The lead sound and some drum samples differs from the Amiga version. The end part is different aswell.

Jochen Hippel is one of the best musicians ever, too bad he did most of his work on the ST and not the Amiga :(
