Hey Donny. Glad I ran into you at the gym yesterday and heard about your documentary. You obviously did a lot of homework. Thanks for cluing me in on this.
She then, of course, ran for and won her district again, and then was a shoo in to be re-appointed as Speaker, since most of the other City Council members fear reprisals from her if they go against her.
One person should not have as much power as she has over City government, and even more so, should not be allowed to abuse that power, as she has throughout her regime.
Most people didn't even know who the Speaker of the City Council was, until the controversy over extending term limits. Originally, Quinn said that she was against changing the terms limits, then made a deal with Mayor Bloomberg when he decided to run for a 3rd term. After supposedly being against extending term limits, she did an about face and as Speaker pushed through the bill to extend term limits.
I saw this last year. I suspected that she was fraud, and this video confirmed it. Unfortunately, I don't think most people in the LGBT community are aware of this information.

I did weeks of research before making this video to ensure that I had the facts straight. I don't understand why, when NYU builds a dormatory, it is destroying the character of Manhattan, but when you try to ban horse-drawn carriages, that's okay.
Hey. You probably know this already, but she just forced council members to vote in favor of a bill that rewards carriage drivers in NYC a rate hike. In the meantime, those are the most abused animals in the city. They live in dumpy tenement buildings. She's so awful.

As an 59 yo gay man, who has fought hard for LGBT rights for 40 years, I encourage all younger LGBT people to address this issue strongly and loudly with letters, emails and demonstration. You must confront the person (Quinn/Bloomberg/Whomever) with direct protest. I applaud Donny Moss and especially those who take signs and voices right to the politicians where they live! Great video, Don. I'm not gay, and had no idea that she was, but I had also lost respect for her. I think LGBT issues should matter to anyone truly interested in human rights. I think that, regardless of sexual orientation, there are plenty of self-interested, overly ambitious people out there. As former head of the gay and lesbian anti-violence project, Christine Quinn should have helped these middle aged gay men who were being falsely arrested for prostitution - especially in light of the fact that they were being arrested in her own district. The fact that she was virtually silent for months is an outrage. This woman should have been arrested last year for doling out slush funds in the city budget in exchange for political favors, but, because she wasn't, we need to vote her out.
Quinn permitted those arrest to occur for SEVERAL months without a public condemnation of police targeting older gay males. It was until the demo at Bloomberg's home that the city official responded to the complaints of false arrest of older gay males.
Yvetta doesn't treat the people as peons and she spoke against extending term limits without a public referendum. Quinn serves her own self-interest, she doesn't serve us How can we fight for marriage equality when Quinn voided our votes. That is why she has no credibility in the State and her "lobbying efforts" are only hurting the marriage equality bill. How can she expect the state lawmakers to take her seriously when she ignore her own district on term limits?
Let's not forget her backing the dishonest Bloomberg on term limits. When Juliani wanted to remain after 9/11, Bloomberg referred to "term limits". I guess it's ok when one wants to be a Dictator, but not ok for Juliani who should have remained mayor (hindsight)? And, my main point, Quinn backed Bloomberg on this fiasco. NY'ers have voted twice to keep term limits and we weren't even asked what we thought this time. We are being railroaded by this entire group!

As for the porn shops, I would like to see them closed down. They're hardly good for the real estate values. People can get the porn on the Internet.
