25 years later, James finally returned the Stenbeck fortune to its rightful heir. Now that I think about it, it's odd that when her returned in 1986, his only goal was to abduct Paul. He didn't try to kill Dusty, and that's an odd bit of history for Douglas Marland to leave out.
This was the believed death of James that led up to that famous, classic ATWT scene where Barbara sees James wearing a hooded cloak and Barbara thinks her mind is playing tricks on her because James is dead. Then James removes the hood and says,"No Barbara, I'm very much alive."
Yeah I read a in a interview he left because. He didn't like were is charactor was going.
Here is one of his personal quotes.
I'm not really bitter, but in my last years on ATWT, I was quite bored. I was disappointed with the direction in which they took my character and storyline. I'd continue to get the most mail on the show and yet, near the end, I was hardly ever on. [1992]
The old oxygen deprivation trick, LOL. James found the most creative ways to hurt his enemies. Those are some high heels on his boots! Poor Paul, hearing about how wacko his father is. That was SO exciting at the end. Thanks!
It depends on the story, I guess. But this was engrossing back then because that type of action wasn't happening when Nancy and Lisa just sat around talking 20 years earlier.
Maybe you should re-ensubtitle this vid., "James' first death". -:) James was fairly stupid to stay on that plane as long as he did, so he "talk" and "taunt" his enemies. Now, I'm confused why they thought James was dead after this, because it was clear to the audience and should have been to Gunnar that he had the parachute?
I can understand why you put the lol, it was funny :)
Poor Paul!
