Phrasing is where the guitarist changes the tone of the music. It works well if a piece repeats itself (eg Tarrega pieces) Or you want a bring out a certain note.
There are various ways to emphasise a phrase, most guitarist move the plucking hand nearer to the sound hole for softness or nearer the bridge for a harde sound.
