I'm Mexican; two of my kids are African-American and the other two of my kids are European-American. I was SO HAPPY when i found your videos. I have not enough words to thank you. My daughter has her comb coils done this morning! I could not wait to work on her hair as soon as she woke up. Many many thanks! She looks adorable!!
I like to see little girls with comb coils I think there so cute:)and they can stay up for a few weeks also.I know this may sound rude but there's no other way for me to put it, I'm really surprised to see a white lady doing a black girls hair but,I must say the way you handled it and the products you use let's me know that you ve been doing her hair for awhile now
LOL @ "Not crunchy lick cheerios"! Too cute. It looks lovely. I did this when the girls’ hair was shorter; I haven't been brave enough to do it on their hair since it has grown. Maybe I'll try it with larger sections. Another great video! Thanks for sharing :). x
this works great on natural hair, but it can also be used to set locs in all types of hair (with the right products and maintenance). my daughter's hair holds coils pretty well, but to keep them held over days i make sure to use a good styling product and she absolutely sleeps in a satin sleep cap every night to maintain it. for us they will last about a week; after that they will either start to loc and/or get fuzzy at the base. trial and error is how i learn to do most things on her hair. :-)
I think your video is excellent! If I ever cut my locks I will try this with my own hair. This works best on natural hair, right? It needs the kink to coil best, no? How long does this last? Do you cover it to make it last longer? How did you learn to do this? Anecdotes, please! lol

I can't wait until my hair grows out, because I "faked" locs with unraveled rope twists, but I can do it that way. Excellent videos!
