When saw this tour live in 1983, I thought the clothes were cool. The white reflects the spotlights very well, especally when the rest of the stage is dark. The visual effects were all about light and dark. This was especially important on the openning song, Rhythm of the heat.
I agree. Now that we're on clothes, this gives a much better effect to the dancing than a fricking suit. Fricking hell. They are musicians, not bankers.

Lol. I´ve seen the POV concert (Peter Gabriel and band, in Greece) in video. Peter and his musicians are under the weight of tons of clothes, that seems an exhibition of Christian Dior in Paris.

Where does Peter get so much energy? Peter is always amazing and fascinating, I agree. He's definately a legend in my book. His music doesn't seem to come from this world, it's so creative and mystified.

For Christ sakes. The white reflects the lighting well and accentuates the dancing. The video probably wouldn't have even detected him in a suit.
He is there to perform his music, not give us a speech or some fricking stockmarket analysis.
I'm wondering whether we saw the same video. I liked his energy and the white (with lights) allowed that to come through.
