Chanos is a master, El-Erian was talking out his ass and always will be.

FSLR is at $70.24 (26 Sept 11) down from $140.90 on the date of this interview, As a short this would have yielded one 50% on the initial value of sold stocks, an annualised gain of 110%.

SSE Index in the same period is down from 3042.635 to 2392.61, this, this would have yielded a 21% loss if one took a broadly bullish view of China as El-Erian had, an annualised loss of 47%.
