  • This guy has the fucking ego of a legend and is laughable...he's a fucking joke. All he's ever done for wrestling is break guitars...think about it...the dude fucking breaks guitars....THAT'S IT...

  • Jeff Jarrett. Midcarder 4 life. The problem at Bash at the Beach? I know Hogan is known for not wanting to do jobs, but this time, no world champion should have lost to Jeff Jarrett. It would be like Razor losing to the Kid but with the title on the line.

  • I was there live! Jeff Jarrett and Booker T almost ran into me in the audience lol.

  • Doesn't anybody even like Jarrett. Dude sucks. I won't even watch TNA till he goes away.

  • Jarrett helped screw up WCW and now history is repeating itself in TNA. Wrestling is dead.

  • WCW , let too many "special" people have "special" positions in their company. Thus, the company had too much infighting. Vince almost faced the same problem with the "kliq" in WWF, which called shots and set their own matches. On any job people can become chummy with the boss and hurt not only employee moral but the company overall. This has happened in sports quite often such as the Astros and Clemens. But, overall WCW had many more problems than this just too many to overcome. Sad !

  • HHH couldnt hold his own jock strap in a wrestling match Next to Most underrated, under pushed, over looked wrestlers

  • @Jonfab88 Ok HHH carried Hulk Hogan to amazing matches, same with fuckin Batista back when he started....HHH can make anyone look good....so quit being a hater bro.

  • I give jeff jerret and brooker t credit of beening pros cause the time they have to get ready and almost done perfect.

  • Yeah Russo wanted his brain child Jarrett to win but his ideas sucked and jarrett wasn't drawing money as champ and fans were losing interest. Hogan thought making himself champ would bring some fans back and give the company time to sort things out. Hogans contract had a clause saying he can do whatever the christ he liked and change bookings but russo was head booker so Jarret did the only thing he could to not get fired which was lose to Hogan but the way russo told him. Fucked up everything.

  • He's right you can't blame 1 individual. Jarret would've got fired if he didn't do what Russo asked. Hogan can't be blamed either the fans hadn't gotten anything they wanted for a few months back then and arena's were not being filled, they wanted hogan to win and he knew that. Vince russo just didn't want to be proved wrong and therefore he can't be blamed either it would have killed his status. Who won in the end? Vince Mcmahon.

  • @me31669 hold up from what i understand Russo wanted Jeff to win and stay champ but Hogan had in his WCW contract where he had creative control and controlled his matches causing Hogan wanting win the title or am i mislead with the information i read ??

  • @RKO074Life P.s It fucked up everything cause Hogan and Russo are both people who in their own minds can't be wrong so when they both fucked up big time Hogan pissed off with the real belt and his millions of dollars and Russo was left to straighten out a pile of shit company without its crown jewel (Hogan) that nobody realistically could have saved; a case of the proverbial too many chiefs and not enough indians.

  • What a load of shit that video was...

  • russo ruined a perfectly good angle because of his speach

  • A lot of people paid hard earned money to watch a good Hogan-Jarrett match that night and got screwed, Hogan was professional enough to put on the show for the people, but Jarrett brought the office into the ring that night

  • I hate Bash at the Beach 2000 because of Vince Russo.

  • vince russo is the devil.......

  • great vid

  • Comment removed

  • King Of The Mountain? What? Brokeback Mountain? This guy was shit and was not even close to what he thought he was and sure as hell not World Champ material. Guy is as lame as R-Truth and MIZ.

  • Booker seriously needs to cut off those Predator dreads and go back to the army cut.

  • "russo gave a real touching heartfealt speech"? lol @ Booker T! what a stupid comment

  • @TheBigBDS

Never seen the speech he gave? Hogan was being a dick about giving the title to up-and-comers like Booker T, and Russo called him on it.

So yeah... 'heartfelt' pretty much covers it. It was a great move on Russo's part.

  • @ShatteredDreamsProd1

actually i've seen the speech he gave, and i'd hardly call it "heartfealt" but whatever.

  • @TheBigBDS I like Hulk Hogan, but I do feel he is selfish damn how many people did he help out Thank God for Vince Russo.

  • @444Sidney

Vinnie Ru is a sack of crap who believes his own hype

  • "You cain't point your fanger at one individual..."!?!? I've always suspected Jarrett might be a little slow, but that one statement confirms it!! Could this guy suck Russo's dick any more??

  • WCW was ideal for the wrestlers with no talent. Jarrett, russo, nash had more to do with destroying that company than anyone. They all have no talent and are over rated. TNA is going no where because of russo and jarrett.

  • The problem for Jarrett is that he'd been wrestling for years in WCW and WWF before going back towards the end and had never won a World Title. He'd been an IC champion, but that was largely because of the whole Debra angle. WCW took a guy who McMahon recognized as a midcard lifer and tried to make him a champion. Other than Booker and Goldberg, it was always the same guys - Hogan, Flair, Sting. No new talent ever got pushed. Meanwhile, WWF was taking off with younger guys.

  • @surfer53 That's so true, you really have to wonder why wcw paid so much to bring Jarrett over and make him a champion instead of pushing the likes of Chris Jerico, Beniot and Eddie instead.

  • @surfer53 Not true, from what I've heard Russo and Vince wanted to make Jeff Jarrett the WWF Champion but Austin didn't want to put over Jarrett because he felt it would bury himself to lose to Jarrett. I think that's why Jarrett always says that he got the money "he deserved" when he blackmailed Vince to no-show at No Mercy 1999.

  • He wasn't even a big star, mid carder at best.

  • I always thought Jeff Jarrett was underrated. I was glad to see him win the WCW Championship since WWF wouldn't give him a chance when he was finally getting over in the late 90s due to his character being revamped with a serious attitude and look.

  • I'm just wondering why that match between Jarrett and Hogan was in the middle of a show during a time when all (at least in PPVs) World Heavyweight Championship matches finish the show or at least are 2nd to last.

  • I just love how they have Booker T's name and TNA superstar on the screen as he is about to talk.Anyone who buys this piece of shit dvd should know who that lazy asshole is.But then again TNA thinks their fan base are a bunch idiots for watching the product anyways so they probably don't know who Booker T is.Jeff Jarrett makes bubba the love sponge look like a wrestling legend,Jarrett really is that bad.And TNA is garbage with the exception of AJ and The Knockouts.

  • @vancedev Did you just call Booker T a lazy asshole? When has Booker ever been lazy?

  • @daonlytamjr ever since he went to the wwf and then especially when he went to tna.Booker T sucks shit,he used to be awesome and now he just sucks cock.

  • Jeff Jarrett sucks

  • "You cant point the finger at any indiuval?" I find that hard to believe mr jarrett mr fuck up.

  • He definetely doesnt deserve what he got, I equate his tna title run king of the mountain bullshit to hhhs wwe reigns of terror, definete backstage politics and jerk offs who want to stroke their own egos because when wrestling was at its absolute peak (97-98) they were midcarders. Way to devalue the belts jerk offs, and in jarretts case, slapnuts.

  • @sleazyfellow

Triple H is 10 times the wrestler and 1000 times the star as jeff though.

  • @ShaneSites I agree.... but honestly you have to admit, Triple H vs. Jeff Jarret would be a good match

  • @sleazyfellow Wrestling was at his absolute peak in 99 and 00 check the ratings, also the time when HHH was on top, by the way the DX was already running big time in 98.

  • i point my finger at 2 people, jeff jarret and vince russo. hopefully you learned from your mistakes..... bahahahahahhaha.

  • as kevin nash would put it jeff jarrett is a vanilla midget

LOL Shows how much TNA Matters.... It doesn't

  • WCW - Hulk Hogan and all the big talent = a sinking ship and it sunk less than a year after that incident at Bash at the Beach 2000.

  • Jeff Jarrett: Look at the management, it's their fault!

Well, look at the management today...all the exact same people, save Dixie Carter who doesn't exactly heal all wounds

  • The fact that Jarrett was even on a main event level in a title match, that alone proves how far WCW had sank by the summer of 2000.

  • pretty good dvd actually

  • fuck jarret and the horse he rode in lol

  • @vancedev

I don't like what you've just said.... but yeah, its true :-/

  • piece of shit jarret thinks hes the best thing thats ever happened to wrestling & hes an embarassment to the industry

  • The thing about Jeff Jarrett is that he is simply not over with fans. I can't imagine many people wanting to by a ticket to see a card with him in the main event.

  • jeff isn't that good because he never won the WWF Championship, Russo gave him the WCW Championship, and TNA common you know that TNA is nothing

  • Out of interest how many copies of this have sold to date? Not including ones sold to Jarrett himself...

  • @NoBrianNoGain OUCH!

  • Jeff Jarret= solid mid to upper card wrestler nothing more nothing less

  • @TheWill1225 I disagree, I thought he had a chance in wcw in 2000 to become a main eventer, The whole Slap Nuts thing was getting over.

  • @TheWill1225 I agree. Who ever bought a ticket because of Jeff Jarrett? talented guy but mid carder.....

  • you still aint over jarrett!...havent been since teaming with Billy joe travis in uswa

  • Fuck JJ..he is a spineless mutt..he comes out on tv crying over his wifes death but gets with kurts wife..this bitch deserves no respect he is not a man you don't do that kind of shit..

  • @ratmdgx I can't help but agree

  • Jeff is wrong. The finger points DIRECTLY at Russo. Jeff's just covering his ass beacuse he's employed by TNA.

  • @CactusJack1127 in case you did'nt know jeff an his family own tna.....in real life not fake, just like mcman owns wwe

  • @onedynasty316 Yeah dude I knew that. Jeff wanted to give Russo another chance. One that in my opinion, he didn't deserve.

  • @CactusJack1127 There were a lot of ppl to blame in case you haven't heard the shoot comments from former WCW talent. Even Flair said that no one knew what was going to happen (booking) cause "this guy changed this and that guy changed that ten minutes later". Keep in mind the talent had creative control of their character, so if they don't see it fit for them they won't perform. Try to book while pleasing the top talent and having young talent establish a run, someones gotta lose.

  • You dammed right this incident was a complete disaster. But you CAN point the finger; namely Jeff Jarret and Vince Russo. I respect was Jerret's done with TnA, but putting him in the limelight did not help WcW in any way whatsoever.

  • I hated the way they used Jeff in WCW First he was nWo, then NEW BLOOD in the same year!!!! Fuck You Vince Russo you piece of fucking dogshit!!!!

  • @rkoduke3d Thank you! Russo, IS a piece of SHIT! and along with with his boy toy Jackoff, is murdering the business

  • Someone has a problem admitting that they royally kissed the ass of that PIECE OF SHIT Vince Russo to get ahead, hence why he wont admit the fact that Vince Russo is a piece of shit who knows NOTHING about Wrestling and has no business being in it

  • @Disciple8923

wasn't the attitude era russo's idea? if so, then he created the biggest draw in wrestling history, wouldn't you say so?

  • @jfuya2000 Russo got fired and sent to WCW shortly after the attitude era began

  • @Disciple8923

ahhh, i see lol. in that case, i agree with you =)

  • @Disciple8923 Russo wan't fired...he quit.

  • @jfuya2000 actually Attitude Era was doing poorly until vince russo was kindly removed i.e loosing to WCW 32 weeks in a row when vince russo was removed it began to flurish so I say Fire vince russo

  • @ahmad3652

the attitude era is recorded as winning just about every monday night war from it's inception all the way through russo's tenure, which means it wasn't doing poorly (reference below)

    google monday night wars.

  • @jfuya2000 WWF only began to win every week during 1999 - and in fact they did tonnes better AFTER Russo went to WCW. Russo gets a lot of credit for being creative enough to think of great ideas but them consistently messes them up after the initial buzz...

  • @NoBrianNoGain

but they won every week for a full year before russo left in late 99. u do not attribute this feat to russo, but sum1 or sumthing else? please let me know =)

  • @jfuya2000 I'd argue that Russo was a small cog in a big machine and that the genius of Vince McMahon and the talent of Stone Cold were what propelled WWF to such heights...also WCW was putting on such a poor product that viewers flocked over to WWF television...

For example the Nitro on 04/01/99 probably lost WCW more viewers than anything WWF had done in the last year due to it being so bad, NOT because Russo was writing the competing show...

  • @ahmad3652 Russo left WWF in late 1999 but by then WWF had been beating WCW in the ratings most of the time for more than a year - it's wrong to say that the attitude era was doing poorly - it was the biggest boom in professional wrestling history!

  • @jfuya2000 Yes the attitude era was Russo's idea when Mcmahon wanted to do the same childish gimmicks during the nWo era. He did create a big draw in the industry now mcmahon has "hollywood" writers. I also believe WCW was done because the plug was pulled by Time Warner merger w/ AOL, and before Bischoff could purchase WCW mcmahon bought it. Even the Titantron was Russo's idea which to this day is used to show the backstage stuff to audience. My how ppl forget.

  • jarret SUCKS

  • Jeff Jarrett is one of the best wrestlers out there that is willing to put over a young talent to get him started. He that for Booker T in 2000. Just unfortunately WCW started pushing the younger takent too late

  • @1987cubsfan Are you saying that Jeff Jarrett put over the younger talent by putting over Booker T in WCW back in 2000 ? Booker T is older then Jeff Jarrett with two years. And by that point Booker T had held alot more titles then Jarrett had.

  • Jarrett may be younger but he was established in the main event and had been a world champion in WCW. Booker T (at the time) probably wasn't considered a top contender and was just moving on from that crappy G.I. Bro gimmick, but Booker's first title reign came unexpectedly and was a historical moment for him and his fans who wanted to see him succeed.

  • I love how they painted Russo and Jarrett as saints when in reality, they were worse than Hogan on that night. What's funny is that they did that exact same spot at Halloween Havoc 99 with Hogan coming out in street clothes to lay down for Sting. And 10 years later, I STILL don't buy Jeff Jarrett being a credible, main event caliber World Champion.

  • @Superman5000The

He is the only wrestler who can make Triple H look innocent of nepotism

  • Jarret is a prick, he wants soooo bad to be a ''superstar'', bue he just isnt

  • Jeff Jarrett probably never has made the Hogan, Taker, HHH, HBK, Hall, Nash money, but Jarrett (along with his Dad) started TNA with the money he did have, which you'de never expect. Glad we have one wrestler taking chances against Vince McMahon success or fail.

  • TNA fucking sucks.

  • For me as a fan, I have respect for Jarrett for 2 reasons: The courage to wrestle at Over the Edge 99 right after Owen Hart's fall and his heartfelt speech at Slammiversary about TNA and his wife Jill

But I still don't think he's that big of a star IMO. I thought him as WCW champion was Russo's idea and favortism and NWA/TNA World Champ is easy cause he owned the company.

  • yeah, but the man works his ass off to be the best he can be. Just b/c WWE decided to sabotage his push doesn't mean i'm NOT going to lbigook at him as a big star, cause he is one.

  • @bammybound

yeah but he deserved his championship runs, he worked his butt off for years.

  • @bammybound I think Bach at the Beach 2000 was good I am glad Vince Russo made that decision I was tired of seeing Hulk Hogan as champion.

  • @bammybound I agree,I think WCW was pushing way to hard to have Jarret as their Rock/Austin, I mean really Slap-Nuts? Is that the best they could come up with? Plus who needs a guitar to get over? Austin/Rock sure didn't

  • @bammybound which slammiversay?

  • @KoToCoNDoR The 5 year one.

  • @bammybound if owen hart was his best friend you know he has to be a good dude.

  • man i remember the wcw world title was a joke i mean anyone would in 2000 could win that belt. even a homeless person could win that belt cause everyone walked through the matches and when the person won the belt, they would give up the belt in 2 days.

  • david arquette anyone??

  • @dmichael1986

greatest heavyweight champion of all time........

wow i really did it...i said that out loud with a straight face...poker anyone lmmfao

  • @BluntVendetta

    Hahahaha!

  • yea i take arquette in the ring with 2 full body casts.

  • so was booker t glad hogan got screwed?

  • hogan screwed himself

  • And another part that was depressing, is that it took away from Booker T's first World Title win.

  • did you hear that crowd??? They could care less, b/c our guy finally got his due.....LONG overdue.

  • I just read the spoilers for this thursdays show...yeah...TNA is fucked...thanks for killing it Hogan...almost like Vince sent him in to destroy it...

  • Comment removed

  • Hogan is an asshole for killing the real alternative fans had to WWE. I'm sure of one thing though, if TNA goes down, Hogan's fame and popularity will go down with it and everything people remembered about him and Hulkamania will go down the toilet.

  • If TNA goes in like having an NWO angel it will fail.

  • Yeah Hogans gonna mess up TNA, he's already bringing in all this old farts. Just looks like an old carbon copy of WCW.

  • After all these years, Hogan is still damaging promotions. TNA, best of luck.

  • it'll be interesting to see how russo and hogan manage to deal wit each other in TNA

  • jarret was never that good, no one in wcw bought him. had he not been best friends with russo he would have never been champion

  • Jarret was great. Sometimes people just don't appreciate old-school performers

  • Jarrett and Hogan are a pair of clowns

  • That's why January 4th on Raw, it's all about The Hitman.

  • oh yea, theres no way hogan and tna can beat hart and raw

  • All I remember is the belt they placed on Booker T was this big cheesey looking thing. It looked like it was brass. And i'm not saying I dunno what the big nwa/wcw/nwo belt looked like. But the copy Booer walked with looked fake. And then Russo made Booker act like the Rock. But I do like Booker T and i'm glad he got the belt anyway.

  • It was a work. It was a planned angle. Hogan would return latter and they were going to have a Champion vs. Champion match.

Russo decided to swerve hogan and Eric Bischoff and cut the shoot interview.

  • it wasaant a work hogan got fired after tht shyt and he never returned to wcw

  • It was a work, except for the last promo by Russo, which he made after Eric and Hogan left the arena. I don't know why I would reply to someone with the grammar of a 2 year old.

Russo as booker didn't have the power to fire someone. Hogan went home and continued to collect a pay check.

  • yea dats wht i meant, da shoot promo russo did, my bad

  • lets remember hogan in the eighties held wwf,s belt for 4 years straight . where flair lost it more times than won it, as for a true champ its how long you hold the belt and stay on top of the mountain HOGAN is to wrestling what ARNIE is to body building numero uno

  • By that logic wouldnt Bruno Sammartino then be the numero uno of wrestling?

  • i guess he would be in his day as charles atlas was to arnold in body building . but arnold did what hogan did, they both brought their sports to the mainstream and it only grew because of them.

  • Fire Russo and buy out Jarret or whatever you have to do to get him gone for good and then TNA can really take off. Watcha gonna do Russo and Jarret when Hulkamania runs wild on you!!

  • @darthanakin87 Go bankrupt....because Hogans going to destroy TNA

  • heart felt?

    People were digging russo's speech?

did he not hear the chants of "Russo Sucks!"

  • I think the only reason he said it was heartfelt is because he got his first title shot after and because russo kept saying he did it for "the booker t's"

  • If you were given a belt you did not deserve at the tile you gonna bash the guy?

  • TNA has been riding off Jeff Jarrett hitting Hogan with a guitar in Japan since day one like it was some classic feud.

Oh and Halloween Havoc was a worked shoot from the mind of the king of the worked shoots, Vince Russo....yawn.

  • Russo is going to kill TNA.

  • just like the WWE

  • maybe, but the half of WWE that's alive is twenty times better than the half of TNA that's alive.

  • what do u mean with the "better" word?

TNA wrestlers at least can wrestle

  • if u don't know what better means then look it up.

it's better in terms of in ring action and in terms of entertainment.

  • @DirtyPsycho69 Well TNA is doing better than WCW, they are lettiing older talent go like hall, nash and eventually flair, bishcoff and hogan are staying out of the camera a lot now and the younger talent is being pushed.

  • @TexasRevolution2010 yeah whos over on tna? its a big clusterfuck just like wcw was

  • @MrRywee123 guess who bought TNA......

  • I think TNA is learning from WCW's mistakes. The fans finally get to see the heels get beaten and it's not like WCW where Hollywood Hogan had long, boring title runs. Hogan still yaks too much, but he's using his fame to promote Jeff Hardy, RVD and AJ Styles, even though Hogan is a face and Styles is a heel. Flair is managing Beer Money and is passing them the torch. In TNA you get something old and something new. I think they have a good balance.

  • @DirtyPsycho69

Vince Russo does that. He goes into a company, and slowly kills it like cancer. That's what Russo is, cancer.

  • Jeff Jarrett is not a bad wrestler. However, he was never more than just a mid-carder. WCW made a mistake of pushing him as a heavyweight champ.

  • WCW met it's demise because of Jarrett.

I dont care what anyone else says.

  • LOL. If you dont know the whole story, then stfu. If you werent physically there, then stfu.

  • jeff jarrett i s not the one who pushed himself as a world chapion it was russo

  • Jeff Jarrett is one of the worst wrestlers of this age. His skills are lackluster. However, mainly...he is not entertaining. He sucks the life right out of the room.

  • I agree 100 percent

  • Jeff Jarret sucks! He was never as good as he claimed to be.

  • Just like what Flair said in his autobiography, guys like Jarrett couldnt draw a dime.

    I agree with Flair.

  • Jeff Jarrett has never been anything better than a mid-card wrestler. When he left the WWE he lost the IC belt to Chyna - if they wanted him as a main-eventer, this storyline would never have happened. He's also a money-grabbing SoB, who will go down in history for the controversy, not the wrestling ability.

  • Well Jarrett sucked and always had. I saw him in USWA. Only reason he made it was his daddy as so many wrestlers that were promoters sons. But I have to say Tully earned it and Jeff was a joke.

  • Jarrett will never be in Tully's league.

And Jarrett suxed in the USWA, the only reason why he got push after push while he was there was being buddy-buddy with Jerry Lawler.

  • Also favors to Jerry Jarrett, Jeff's father. Lawler bought the territory from him.

  • Jarrett should leave TNA wrestling. If TNA managment really is sour on him, then he should leave and go where he's appreciated. Of course I'm only reading internet rumors, if I'm wrong, then mark this as spam :)

  • The only reason Booker T said Russo gave a heartfelt speech is because Russo is working for TNA.

  • It could've been sarcasm.

  • there goes ur answer WCW...when u have a guy like "jeff jarrett" as ur world champion then of course the company is gonna go down the drain....the WWf had hard time even with champions like bret hart, HBK, the undertaker, and ur gonna tell me that as ur company is going down, u have jeff jarrett as ur champion...?? even david arquette as ur champion...?? fuckin pathetic

  • I think it was a shoot. As odd as that sounds, since Russo pulled a worked shoot about every week on WCW, I think the incident was a complete shoot.

The reason why is simple. Since Jarrett had no control over his character, but Hogan did, he realized that he could pretty much become the champion whenever the hell he wanted to, and he refused to lie down to Jarrett.

This caused Russo to think of Hogan as a complete ass, and told Jarrett to lie down to show Hogan how easy it'd be for him.

    Fail.

  • No this was a worked shoot. the only part of the segement which was a

shoot.....was when Russo came back on stage and cut a huge anti-hogan promo. this pissed hogan off and he never came back,

  • there was nothing worked about this. Jarrett and Russo orchestrated it behind Hogan's back cuz, like many times in the past in WCW, Hogan didn't want to lose cleanly. Just look back at Starrcade 97 and vs Goldberg 98. Russo got pissed and the rest is history.

  • No...Hogan knew the Screwjob thing was going to happen it was planned just like the Goldberg/nash segements. As he said later him and bischoff celebrated the segement afterwards in the limo. but then seen/found out about the anti-hogan promo this pissed off hogan and he decided not to return and sued Russo/WCW for slander.

  • Well if it was a worked shoot, then apparently Russo and the rest of the creative team already knew that the company was in bad shape. So, with that, It also leaves me to believe that after Russo left the WWF, he went to WCW to try and shoot them down little by little.

  • but I do see what you're saying..Austin did have a tremendous impact during the Attitude Era and WWE wouldn't have held up without him

  • that is true I don't think they would have succeeded they way they did without Stone Cold even if WCW had that Steve Austin from 1994 it would still be better than Austin reinventing himself in ECW then going with that direction in WWE I think ECW is what is the most underrated part of the "Stone Cold" character because without ECW Austin would have probably not gotten that character out the way he did in WWE and probably wouldn't have been considered had Austin not been in ECW with the promos

  • good point man, The thing is all Austin was being in ECW was himself. Pissed off at WCW and talking from the heart. I think Austin was determined to be the biggest star in history and his true persona was thankfully able to come out at a national level through the WWF. I still refuse to give Vince mcmahon credit for it because if it was up to him he would be stuck with the ringmaster gimmick forever. Austin was the individual who made the Stone Cold character the success that it was.
