@kawboyracing1 spray its nuts off, but learn as much as you can about nitrous along the way and try to stay ahead of the curve, you'll be fine. Gears are a MUST. either 3.73 or 4.10 gears.

@kawboyracing1 a 302 will handle so much nitrous its not even funny. I ran 30+ bottles through that engine in that vert, it was just an explorer gt40 engine with the same shortblock as a stock 5.0. Thats 300lbs of juice over 3 years. Never blew it up. It takes a little bit to learn all the tricks but just start reading about it, its not voodoo, its physics and science. Nitrous doesnt blow motors, people that dont know what they are doing blow there motors. Go for it dude...
@kawboyracing1 I ran a 100-125 shot at first, then went to a 150 shot most of the time. At the end I was using about a 175 shot. It handled it fine and ytes you can spray with stock heads. The stock iron heads are difficult to injure if you make a mistake or nitrous backfire.

@jbissey1990 I run the standard pony rims which are 16 inch rims, and for the track I use a set of ten hole rims and Mickey Thompson ET streets 26 inches tall and measures 8.5 inches wide actual measurement and works excellent.

@dekoi28 5.0's are easy to mod, can easily take a z28 with heads/cam. 5.0 stock is comparable to the z28, I would honestly say the z28 would get it stock with there 6 speeds, assuming its a 4th gen camaro, but like I said with both of them modded and tuned right, its a fair race.

dude, i have a prodject im workin on now with a 88 convertible mustang, im doing a engine swap to a v8 from a 4cyl. I would really really apriciate it if you can send me a msg on everything you need, from the motor and tranny, but did you need to buy the cross mounts for the transmission, and did you need to get the motor mounts from the v8 to sit it in a ex 4cyl, im more concerned about the tranny and motor mounts, any info would be great, due to your success, im open to any advice.
@shockeyshock you will need motor mounts for a v8 if you swap out the 4 cylinder. Also the transmission will need a different cross member if you are wanting dual exhaust you will need the double hump. It would take a ton of time to make that list just keep doing research its definitely is a good project...

Dont care what you say a 13 second mustang on nitrous is VERY VERY slow. You must be running a very small shot...... Mabe you should look into a good head swap. Get rid of the freakin A/C and Im sure you still go the smog pump on there too. drop it all!!!
Trust me I would have kept it off but the car had some paint damage on the front end. Plus for a while I had blackouts in the front and the whole front end was blacked out and it actually looked cool but I lost one of the lenses. I had always planned to get it painted oh well.

dude, i have a prodject im workin on now with a 88 convertible mustang, im doing a engine swap to a v8 from a 4cyl. I would really really apriciate it if you can send me a msg on everything you need, from the motor and tranny, but did you need to buy the cross mounts for the transmission, and did you need to get the motor mounts from the v8 to sit it in a ex 4cyl, im more concerned about the tranny and motor mounts, any info would be great, due to your success, im open to any advice.

@shockeyshock you will need motor mounts for a v8 if you swap out the 4 cylinder. Also the transmission will need a different cross member if you are wanting dual exhaust you will need the double hump. It would take a ton of time to make that list just keep doing research its definitely is a good project...

Trust me I would have kept it off but the car had some paint damage on the front end. Plus for a while I had blackouts in the front and the whole front end was blacked out and it actually looked cool but I lost one of the lenses. I had always planned to get it painted oh well.
