@MATG1025 Yes. And that was the whole point of this episode. It transpired that Meredith had become suicidal. If I remember correctly, there's a sequence where, presumably in limbo between life and death, she is confronted by dead people from her past, including the bomb disposal expert, Denny and her mother, who accuse her of allowing herself to die.

@MATG1025 No probs. It's easy to get lost in story arc shows. Particularly if they keep taking mid-season breaks. The only reason I know that part is I recently watched Season 1-3 again over the course of a couple of weeks. Whilst I was watching it I repeatedly thought, "wow, I must have missed that the first time round" or "well that finally explains that." :)

@Tifferbell07 That's one of the things I like about alot of the actors in Grey's Anatomy. They age and they look like they're going through the stuff they're acting. I find most other shows, regardless of the genre, the actors look like actors, and not the characters they are portraying, and ironically enough, the ones who don't seem to fit in on Grey's tend to get written off, or at least don't make as many apperances.
