i agree with those cats, hip-hop is thriving right now, but honestly all those besides lupe, just sound the same to me, the same "new" flavor. none of them really bringing anything unique, because of the fact that they are all new. there all tryna be different but end up being the same. the more things change the more they stay the same.

@AOMusic23 I dunno man, I used to love Lupe but all his new shit I've been hearing has left me kinda disappointed. My thoughts on him are identical to my thoughts on Immortal Technique-I know the dudes smarter than the majority of other rappers and I know his music is more thought out/intelligent... but the way its presented just lacks appeal. I know that Currensy and Wiz just rap about cars(or jets),bitches and weed but their beats, flows, punchlines etc. just make it more entertaining imo

when i put lupe aside from that group it was because he isnt that new, but i feel like all these new dudes are tryna get in the game in a similar fashion to how lupe did it...when lupe came out he was DIFFERENT, ppl liked it, so i feel all these new cats and tryna do the same. to me wiz and cudi are like twins to me, yeah they can pick beats and provide SOME content, but its the same between em.
