It's not really ruined. Sure it may not rock DOHC but it rocks SOHC which is better than nothing. Although it ain't close to a K20, there's still plenty you can do with it. The CR-Z tuner market is growing everyday. Sure, it has the Hybrid decal on the back, but I'm not ashamed, because when people hear my CR-Z roar and backfire, they're like "Are hybrids supposed to do that?"

People don't realize the CRZ hybrid in this acts like KERS. Whenever you brake you store power, then release it with the engine. So it's like a KERS like effect. Plus the Honda Hybrid allows for harder braking, and there isn't a worry of overheating the brakes.

So in terms of the eco friendly part of the car it is a major success and will be even bigger success when a sport option is offered as I will be one of the first buyers for sure if it gets a true k20

daury2006 I see your point about putting a K in there instead of a B... The more I think about it, I guess it would be more sensible and smart to put a K in it. I raced an RSX (K20 I believe) with my DA Integra (gsr motor swap with ARP rod bolts, redline 8200) and I got beat by a car length or two at the end of fourth. Still need a Dohc Vtec motor in a CR-Z, nonetheless LoL.. I got lucky to see one of these CR-Z's up close in person, and it's sweet, but I still want to see or do a swap in one.

@goofypowerallday hell no. the road version needs a k20 perhaps and no electric motors. just like the original crx. as well as no ac, no super boombastic stereo, no power windows, noall the crap that makes it heavy. just put a good engine and make it very light and ull get pretty much the same mileage as thios one. plus taking in consideration that the bateries are not reciclable this car is as green as a tractor. give us the 80's back
