  • the music in this one is more brass than the first one. like if you agree.

  • The next author after Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is Anthony Horowitz with his new case, The House of Silk

  • 0:25 does the piano remind anyone of the L4d2 music?

  • @SmickBittlun Actually the story was called "The Final Problem" he died after falling from the Reichenbach Falls with Moriarty. But either way it was sad!

  • They should do the Hound of the Baskervilles next.

  • @ThreePipeFilms Yes! tht could be awsome but i don´t think that because after of the final problem comes the adventure of the empty house so maybe could be de hound or maybe Moran. but i´m agree with you ando sorry for my bad english

  • @rtyuiopghjk True, if you want to watch an awesome version of the hound of the baskervilles you should type in "Richard Roxburgh Sherlock Holmes Hound of the Baskervilles" it was that film made by the BBC that got me into Sherlock Holmes and it is among my favourites!

  • Quick, quick! Where is my MP3? I just had to put this wonderful music in his little memory card!

  • Is it just me or it is impossible to do not press "replay"?

  • The look on Watsons face, twice when Sherlock "Died" is what killed me. I get chills everytime I see it.

  • When Holmes was dying and Watson was like "You selfish bastard!" and everything my friend Lucy was like "He can't die!" and I was like "Damn right he cant - there's another hour left!" xD But when we thought he was dead here I was like 'No way! They can't do that - they can't kill him!" :o xD

  • I heard the new one has Jack the Ripper

  • @Tigerlily887 i agree. it wasnt that i cried because he "died". it was the look on his face when watson came for him and the devastation in watsons eyes when it happened.

  • The last eye contact between Holmes and Watson was something beyond description.

  • I adore the soundtracks to both films - this piece in paticular is lovely. Those last ten seconds or so... Just breathtaking. Thank you very much for uploading, it's very kind :)

  • although Mr Doyle did intend to kill him off at this point, i would like to see a sequel.

  • I love how they both close their eyes in this scene...

  • The scene where this song played was so sad...:'(

  • Sad bit in movie :'(

  • I don't care what people say. Moriarty can't be dead. They would've surely found his body. Besides who else is there that can put up a match for Holmes in the upcoming third film!?

  • @TheShadowedOne1 In the books, Moriarty did die at the Reichenbach Falls. There's a whole host of other opponents for Holmes, such as Charles Augustus Milverton, or perhaps a certain hound...

  • @CaptainAndyman Hm. I've never heard of Charles Augustus Milverton. Who is he in the books?

  • @TheShadowedOne1 He's the master blackmailer - he keeps information on hundreds of different people, so he can use it against them, and he's so cunning and clever in the way he does it that Holmes has had no choice but to go along with the blackmailing and assist in organising payment. He says he hates Milverton but has often come into contact with him and been unable to stop him, because it would be impossible for the police to obtain solid evidence.

  • @CaptainAndyman Cool, sounds like interesting character, should he be included in the next film.

  • when you watch the film and during intermisons the story is still going

  • XD When Sherlock fell, I just kept thinking "No way hes dead. They cant kill him, hes to awesome."

  • THE END ?

  • I love the way they always leave room for sequels, in the first one he says, "Watson, case reopened," and in this one it's "the end?"

  • Reichenbach fall scene was amazing. Having read almost all of the books I had shivers all down my spine when I saw it. Maybe the 3rd movie will be based on the hound of baskerville? :)

  • @acquamarine28 I am so hoping that it's the Hound. That IS my favorite Sherlock book, ever since I nicked it from my Uncle's place and read it under the covers as a kid.

    (don't worry, I returned it :P )

  • @TakeItToTheMax5 ( If I were you I would have taken it XD )

The best thing of Sherlock Holmes books is that you don't have a clue about the culprit. I love investigation genre and read a lot of them ( especially Agatha Christie and Ellery Queen ) but always found out who was the murderer at the middle of the story. Conan Doyle was a genius!

  • Shed a tear at this scene, seeing Sherlock take one last look at Watson, and then having his eyes closed as he fell :'(

  • What killed me and almost made me cry during this scene wasn't the fact that Sherlock "died", it the look on Waston's face when he did.

  • @Tigerlily887

    [SPOILER]

  • @Tigerlily887 Jude Law nailed me too with that. Superb acting.

  • Awwww :'( Irene Adler: Finally, tragically outfoxed... <3

  • such a good piece of music as to sherlocks fate i suggest you watch the movie in the cinemas right to the end because it is revealed

  • This is for everyone...Sherlock Holmes does NOT die, be it movie or book. Now you can celebrate. :)

  • @xFirebird925x Note: they are making a Sherlock Holmes 3, so why should he die? :)

  • @xFirebird925x

    Thanks for the spoiler. Dumbass.

  • @RocksBob Being impolite only shows that you are rude, and besides, I am quite above these elementary insults.

  • @RocksBob Oh and BTW if you don't want to have the movie spoiled, why don't you watch it first and then join the fandom?

  • @RocksBob dude dont just be rude how about u watch the film and see if Holmes lives or dies then blab about the film idiot.

  • why did sherlock holmes die whyyyyy

  • Does anyone know the track that plays when Holmes is on the boat and throws the napkin overboard?!

  • @TheOne784N I have absolutely no idea. I bought the soundtrack but its none of the tracks. I've been looking for it for decades. Did you ever find it?

  • @Tigerlily887 Ive tried. I think its just in the movie and not in the soundtrack. :(

  • WELLLL this movie isn't the book now is it? Sherlock lives... duh

  • "Oh, how I've missed you Holmes."

  • OMG, don't tell me Sherlock's going to die. @_@'

  • @CanadianRM4 Fans of the book already know theirs a 99% chance Holmes will die with Moriarty in the film, but he won't really "die". You'd have to be a reader of the stories to know.

  • @manymade1 Yeah, I figured the same thing too. It'll be a cliffhanger ending like Dead Man's Chest.

  • @CanadianRM4 Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (the author of the books) originally killed off Sherlock but brought him back because he was receive insane hate so this might be based on the book which he did die in it!

  • @WaterBottle1998 Very true! Was sitting in the cinema and suddenly realised the waterfall was Reichenbach! Just wondering what Holmes book this is in again? x

  • @BritishAlienCompany The Final Solution! And yeah I saw the waterfall on the trailer and I was like 'oh shit its Reichenbach!' LOL

  • @WaterBottle1998 Ah so it is The Final Solution! Brilliant! The one i don't have! *jumps on over to amazon and does a quick bit of ordering* But seriously i think this film is amazing and for those who haven't seen it, rectify this immediately! x

  • @BritishAlienCompany Hahahaaa its one of the best stories in my opinion! And I agree this film was brilliant! I was a bit skeptical of Robert Downey jr but I love him now! Have you seen the BBC version called Sherlock? It is AMAZING! The new series airs tomorrow at 8 but I thoroughly recommend watching the first series truly fantastic :)

  • @WaterBottle1998 Yeah i agree on all points! And yeah i adore Sherlock on the BBC! Both that and these films are very different and so don't really enable one to have to choose as they both supply pure awesome! 'Mrs Hudson stole my skull :( ' x

  • @BritishAlienCompany Ahahaha yeah, I love Sherlock and I love RDJ and Benedict Cumberbatch's different portrayals of Sherlock so I don't have a favorite either :) 'Anderson stop talking you lower the IQ of the whole street!' x

  • @WaterBottle1998 Hehe! Agreed! Love them both! Roll on more awesome! DFTBA x

  • @BritishAlienCompany Oh heeelll yes!

Hehehe always makes me smile when I find another NerdFighter, DFTBA x

  • @WaterBottle1998 Riesenbach falls.

that's all that must be said.

he also brought back Moriarty, but he never quite explained how Moriarty survived the fall like he did with holmes

  • @JhonFlynn I know I read the books

  • @JhonFlynn No he didn't. Moriarty remained dead after The Final Problem.

  • @WaterBottle1998 Killed by being drowned by Moriaty i think?

  • @TheHaniackStudios In the final problem they both fell off the cliff/waterfall thing and died....but he had to bring Sherlock back :')

  • @WaterBottle1998 was that in the film or book that was changed?

  • @TheHaniackStudios in the movie

  • @TheHaniackStudios The book!

  • @WaterBottle1998 sherlock holmes is the best detective ever. Can you imagine if sherlock holmes is live. Then, what are you say?

  • @Otaiguru I'm sorry I don't understand :/

  • @WaterBottle1998 if he is real in world, what are u say?

  • @WaterBottle1998 It is. The story was called "The Reichenbach Falls".

  • @SmickBittlun What story? Sorry so many replies on here not sure which one your replying too

  • @WaterBottle1998 The book that part of this film is based on, just what you said.

  • @WaterBottle1998 The queen of England herself petitioned him to revive Sherlock Holmes.... no kidding! *feel like I should add "ChaCha" here.... it sounds like something they would say*

  • @CanadianRM4 weel, actually yes AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I spoiled everything XD
