First off, Nixon admitted during his term that everyone in DC was a Keynesian. You don't have to have a degree to grasp the concept. Secondly, there's NOTHING conservative about the Neo-Con's foreign policy or fiscal policy.
Actual conservatives do not engage in massive government spending, bailouts, preemptive wars, maintaining a global military empire, the Patriot Act, etc. Historically, conservatives were elected to get us out of wars, decrease debts, balance budgets, etc.

The Community Reinvestment Act passed by Jimmy Carter became bloated under Clinton and banks were forced to give bad home loans to people who couldn't pay it back. First off, Nixon admitted during his term that everyone in DC was a Keynesian. You don't have to have a degree to grasp the concept. Secondly, there's NOTHING conservative about the Neo-Con's foreign policy or fiscal policy.
Actual conservatives do not engage in massive government spending, bailouts, preemptive wars, maintaining a global military empire, the Patriot Act, etc. Historically, conservatives were elected to get us out of wars, decrease debts, balance budgets, etc.

Bush's campaign platform before his first election was a humble foreign policy, and he criticized Clinton / Gore for foreign interventionism, which was clearly a load of BS. The fact is we haven't had true conservative representation in DC for a long time.

Actually it was the housing foreclosure crisis that caused the economic "depression". The Community Reinvestment Act passed by Jimmy Carter became bloated under Clinton and banks were forced to give bad home loans to people who couldn't pay it back. A handful of republicans in the senate were the only voices warning of danger if more restrictions weren't laid down. You might wanna do a little research before you start calling OTHER people 'brainless wonder'.

Reagan would have had no reason to stop it, it was done on such a small scale in the 80's to not really cause any problems. The problem came when Clinton beefed it up and there were actual THREATS against banks if they wouldn't dull out these loans. How would you like people like the ACLU on your ass every month? Bush didn't even acknowledge that we had a developing economic crisis from 2003- 2008. Let's get real here. Bush repeatedly defended the economy, even claiming that it (economy) was growing at many points in his admistration.
Unless we adopt the policies put forth by Ron Paul we're doomed for massive inflation and a long term depression, Paul is the only candidate for real change.
