You can probably buy a used one online for even cheaper.

If you don't have twenty, or probably even ten, dollars, then just play through Twilight Town in KH2, they explain things pretty well within the first few hours of the game, lots of flashbacks so it helps.

Or just go to the kh-wiki and find out the main plot points :/
