Approximately when does this happen? I would love to witness it. I know there is a total solar eclipse going to be visible from the Faroe Islands in 2015. Need to plan a trip properly, maybe kill two birds with one stone.

1. They do that in the most humane way possible (it'sillegal to cause unnecessary torture to animals) one cut along the main artery is all that is done

If it was, then you might have the opportunity to observe a whaledrive with your own eyes, as many tourists have. We do not think of our actions as killing, we think of it as the way of life, for a purpose is in mind which is seen as moral good.

The meat can be boiled, roasted, or preserved by either salting or drying. Eating whale-meat is as normal as eating beef.
