Too bad Eve has completely dropped the ball on the actual STORYLINE! When was the last time something actually happened? Haven't heard a peep from the wars in I can't remember how long. The Incursions still happen, but nothing in the news. Seems like the Incursions would be a vehicle for the empires to come together to try and stop them. It's a shame so much went into development and creating a setting only to watch it become just a forgotten backdrop.

It has been a while since I have played EvE. So, this story is a good story - but, um, at the end... Admiral Tovil-Toba sacrifices himself. Did he clone jump? If people can use clones - why dont the Caldari just pick up all the citizens clone info and move the clones off world and then clone jump?

The war started because gallente federation, in all their "democratic" ways of doing things, did not give the Caldari State autonomy from under them when they asked for it. The attack on the underwater city was not aproved by any caldari goverment.. but the gallentians did not care. Its like America bombing the whole Middle East because of 1 of Al'Qaeda's terrorist acts.

Caldari corps were always greedy and didn't care much for Federation regulations and when their illegal mining installations were discovered, they were asked to give them away to federation authorities for investigation. Instead, they decided to break away.

actually if you consider greed as part of caldari culture.. then it is indeed a "a clash of culture"
