Hollywood would have had no qualms introducing Xena and Hercules to the movie if it was more profitable.Look at what they did to the 300,the spartans were fighting almost naked like Conan the barbarian and the Persians were depicted as alien deformed monstrosities, i'm surprised Cthulhu didn't show up just to spice things up a bit.Never take Hollywood seriously, simply enjoy the hilarious part of it all.
good movie but in some parts historically inacurate, during the crusades balian of ibelin feel to his knees in front of saladin and begged him to spare his life and his knights, but in the movie its almost a casual conversation and the muslim armies lost very little men taking jerusalem, again in the movie they lost men by the thousands

every time i walk in the old city of Jerusalem i remember this movie, but it is not so accurate, the Christian knight in the end defends Jerusalem for it's people while it is known that Saladin would not have massacred the Christians unlike the crusaders who have killed over 30,000 Muslims in the old city walls
@medonat Actually history says that Saladin planned on killing everyone in the city as pay back for what the crusaders did when they took Jerusalem during the first crusade.
The soldiers in the city however told him that if they were not given safe passage out of the city they would destroy the mosque with the golden dome(can't remember its name right now) and Saladin agreed to their terms so as to not have the building destroyed.
There was no attack on the city like in this movie.

@mbern45 Ehm actually history says there was a siege during which Saladin's forces managed to knock down parts of Jerusalem's walls so I'm sorry but there was an "attack" as you put it. And Balian's threat was not only for the Al-Aqsa Mosque which I think you're referring to but was to pretty much set Jerusalem ablaze and slaughter any muslim inside the city walls.
The thing that makes Ridley Scott so good is the cinematography and the way he can create epic scales. Kingdom of Heaven is my favorite film. Lots of people say it isn't as good as Gladiator, but IMO, its music and atmosphere are just much grander.

I do love all this movies like Kingdom of heaven, Gladiator, Troy, you name it. every time i walk in the old city of Jerusalem i remember this movie, but it is not so accurate, the Christian knight in the end defends Jerusalem for it's people while it is known that Saladin would not have massacred the Christians unlike the crusaders who have killed over 30,000 Muslims in the old city walls

@medonat Actually history says that Saladin planned on killing everyone in the city as pay back for what the crusaders did when they took Jerusalem during the first crusade.
The soldiers in the city however told him that if they were not given safe passage out of the city they would destroy the mosque with the golden dome(can't remember its name right now) and Saladin agreed to their terms so as to not have the building destroyed.
There was no attack on the city like in this movie.

And Balian's threat was not only for the Al-Aqsa Mosque which I think you're referring to but was to pretty much set Jerusalem ablaze and slaughter any muslim inside the city walls.

I do love all this movies like Kingdom of heaven, Gladiator, Troy, you name it. But one thing i really hate is that hollywoods make them and does in a way they want the film, like in real, the mighty salahadin, he let Lion heart leave , non violence, he was very respected and my best part of the film was when he said" I am Salahadin" But 200 000 that's bullshit or look at troy 1000 ships in realt it was only like 10-15 and about 300-400 men who invaded the little fortress of troy.

When i did my research i found many that want to leave Islam but they cant cause there scared of there life. In the Bible, divorced Women are Labeled as an Adulteress, not men {Matthew 5:31-32} Not in Islam.

The Koran says women can argue with the Prophet {58:1}
The Bible Convicts Women as the original Sinners (ie. Eve picking from the forbidden tree){Genesis 2:4-3:24}.

The Bible also asks women to wear veils as in Islam {I Corinthians 11:3-10}
