  • 3.06 "Shemale lioness"?!?

  • Would be so cool if our society would work like that. "Stand by the tree, and talk about it."

  • I wanna do a trip like this some day , and be part of UNICEF ...

  • Their Swahili lessons took them far. Djambo!

  • i love this series but i would be scared be them since these guys have machetes

  • The soundtrack for this series is amazing, I love it!

  • its just so great to see them helping the poor. their adventure brought me close to the reality of world.

  • you literally have to purposely avoid editing in footage of missions all over Africa/Asia to try & not "offend" anyone or seem pro religion-which is ridiculous, because there are hundreds more missions helping kids/ families in Africa than Unicef,& paved the way over a hundred years before Unicef, like Dr.Livingstone, the first.&is the true face of Christianity providing medical aid/ schooling/sacrificing time/money for the poor, while institutionalized charity follows suit & tries to be the face

  • Unicef is the ONLY decent organization run by the proven ultra corrupt U.N.&they are not w/o blame-they are involved in population control & sterilization under U.N mandates to control overpopulation-if you want to do any real good in poor rural Africa,THERE ARE LITERALLY DOZENS OF PRIVATE CHARITIES as Charlie spoke about that aren't gov't controlled(they r the 1's that often get attacked),& they do the same things as Unicef & much much more,& in more areas-don't trust anything run by the U.N.,

  • for those interested in getting involved in charity in Africa-easy way to start is sponsor a child though Compassion International-like my mom did in Uganda.> you can set up trip to see kids in Africa&how they are schooled/medical care..I went to Uganda to see the two children sponsored, while visiting w/Compassion,there was obvious opportunities told to us while there..1 thing these vids don't show is the hundreds of Christian missions set up everywhere in Africa/Mid-East/Asia

  • squirm.......................

  • when it comes to riding in sand, i'd like to quote a riding buddy of mine. "Your front wheel is the one to get you in trouble, so keep that bastard off the ground as much as possible"

  • the less people have the more they will give...

This documentary is classic example. I mean they live almost without the water, and they will still offer you a cup of tea.

But in western countries, people don't even say hi to eachother. I read somewhere that Rockefeller family gives like $6000 to charities. 6000???

  • @crnavisnja Not always true, Bill Gates gives Billions of Dollars away.

  • One benefit from these videos is it may just de-romanticize the living standards of the 3rd World. These guys know they are moving on the next day while the people have to endure this daily - fetching water, scrounging for fire wood, no sanitation, no electricity. Do you think they wouldn't prefer what we take for granted? (Not all at once, but over time.)

  • You just have to love Claudio :)

  • Wow that woman Charlie smiles at is beautiful :-) this is a whole different world from what people like us in Europe, North America, Australia, parts of eastern Asia like Japan are used to. It seems like they went back 500 years, but this amazing culture is still alive all over the world. We just need to shallow our fears, get out there and see it. Its absolutely amazing to watch this. Makes you love the world for the right reasons.

  • i just loved how Charley smiled at the woman at 9:42...such a charmer!!! that lady is really gorgeous!!

  • I love, I really love Long Way!!!! AMAZING!!!

  • If male circumcision is something that makes you squirm, do some research on female circumcision. It's much more common than you probably think.

  • That circumcision thing sounds barbaric. Why do they wait till they're older? And they don't give them anything for pain? Would he really kill his own son if he flinched?!

  • I'm a woman and still i wince when they talk about circumcision.

  • circumcising their boys with those choppers lol.

  • charley is like a pro, which is good.

  • If the words "Negro" and "Nigger" are so offensive.... why are they rapped so much by 50 Cent etc?

  • @LaggySponge Negro? Who the fuck raps about Negroes you silly cunt.

  • @kicktotheballs go back and read my comment... if you still dont underdtand.... give up

  • @LaggySponge "Nigger" was used by slave owners and is used by racist dickheads. "Nigga" is the term used by rappers and what not. I know it's confusing but i kind of get it. Do abit of research on it and you'll get it abit more. I might be wrong though too be honest.

  • i love the look on charleys face when that guys takin about the snip u can almost tell he wants 2 run away but cant lol

  • DUDE, circumcising at an advanced age like that must be so embarrassing and painful!

  • Those kids are SO adorable!

  • ewan's likes a big kid it's so funny some times :)

  • Negro's in correct term , or black people how love call them americans are not homo _sapiens_ they are another branch of homo which we likely to see in our ages. So I think what americans make huge mistake that they really intensive crosses with them, at least this is foolish and not need. Everybody are homo sapiens is asias , arabians ,and so called white , but exactly negros is a branch

  • Not all Americans, Just the Supid ones hate the African Americans. And we don't call them Negros anymore either.

  • The Negro is a term of race from dictionary, absolutely ain't offensive , the offensive is word "nigger". Because is a lame to call whole race as "black people" , ok if you don't like word simple dictionary word negro, create new term

  • YA RIGHT! Come to America and call a Black guy a Negro. We'll be sending you home in a box.

  • @lletah You are a fucking idiot.

  • @lletah You are truly Ignorant. I feel sorry for all the People who have to share space with you. Like coworkers and Family. They must just shake their heads every day and wonder how you manage to walk and breathe at the same time.

  • @lletah Learn grammer, and how to spell.

  • i'm feeling really 'farsick' at the moment, don't know if it's even an english word. but to experiance these people sharing everything they have even though they are poor as f***, is beyond words can tell. to put it in an understatement: this is worth so much...

  • Respect! I love the way Ewen says lets get cleaned up and start mixing with these people, great, sounded so sincere

  • some of africa has never got out of the stone age. its incredible really

  • The stone age? What do you mean by that?

  • I just mean that some of the areas don't rely on anything except what they have used for thousands of years. Whether thats a good thing or a bad thing is debatable, but i kind of envy it in a way.

  • I kind of envy it in a way too. Terms like 'primitive and stone age' have been used since colonial times to say that tribal peoples are out-of-date remnants of the past. This is used to justify the illegal theft of their lands and resources by more powerful peoples.

  • It is true that tribal peoples arent as powerful as industrialised societies, and of course their ways of life are different, but everyone lives in the same time now and no-one is evolutionarily more advanced, or more primitive, than anyone else.

  • I pray this culture is never corrupted by the outside world.

  • and what part of Africa has got out of the stone age really? I mean apart from countries that have been developed by Europeans?

  • FGS

  • OMG I love listening to Ewan when he's singing ... :)

  • lol. you do know he's married? haha, even if there is a goalie, it's possible to score

  • The chief looks just like Christopher Walken!

  • After watching the Long Way... series, Ewan and Charley have really inspired me to get involved somehow with UNICEF and see how I can help others....

you know a series is great if it can inspire you to do good :)

  • I agree :D

  • @BonafideBrooklynite

    You don't know how much!!!

  • I love how much Ewan talks to himself in his helmet.

  • well hes not really talkin to himself is it? Hes documenting :P

  • That's not what documenting sounds like. Most of the time he's just humming to himself.

Having microphones in their helmets isn't solely for documenting, Charlie and him need to be able to talk to one another without stopping the bikes.

Plus they even make reference to the fact that they can turn off their helmet mics if they want to and that Ewan keeps forgetting so Charlie has to hear him sing and talk to himself.

  • I'd disagree with you. Him humming and singing and making commentary certainly is the sound of documenting. Hearing his random thoughts and singing is adding to the visual documentation. Much more important than the sometimes dry clinical observations you get in some documentaries.

  • Nice, nice, nice, nice, I would like to do this...

  • me too

    and long way round :P

  • i'm up for it!

  • The three of you should go. I'll work on the Visa/passport/funding.

  • Well well well aren't we funny ...

  • flatulent freak

  • I'd be up for that! :D Around the world on my bike sounds like alot of fun!

    Need a camera man? :P

  • i want in on this trip :) camera man sounds nice

  • I'd love to go with you. That would be so much fun!!!
