  • Marco didn't snap just because Stocke turned Mimel in. It was only the beginning of a gradual process of alienation, coloring his perception of Stocke's later decisions and souring his loyalty.

The text of the ending pretty much comes right out and says so.

  • 13:50 Raul, what the heck are you doing there?!

  • 5:50 queue the birth of a monstrous demi-beast which destroys the world... turns out there was a good reason for the segregation between beastkind and mankind.

  • YEAH that's nice for a 9-year-old! "I hear the voices of the dead." WHAT THE [bleep]!

  • What is this substance leaking from my eye...? Why is it red. OH SHIT I'M BLEEDING!

And that's why I don't cry, I sniffle. Sniffle, Sniffle, Sniffle!

  • You know HCBailly, that Marco and Mimel not being in a legitimate relationship only makes his bad ending that much more of a troll.

  • KIEL!! :D :D

  • HCBailly, you really shouldn't be surprised that a lot of the women are pregnant. If you study your history, a "baby boom" follows most large-scale wars, and the war in this game certainly qualifies. That's why the people born in the US from 1946 until about 1960 or so are called "Boomers." They were born during the post WWII/Korea "baby boom."

    The more you know...

  • Rosch took Hugo's army rank, Raoul took Hugo's government job. Viola was still field marshall. And Raynie's scene is the best by far, even though her feelings aren't obvious outside of three scenes through the whole game.

  • Wait, I still don't understand how the two timelines could've merged back into one :(

  • I'm not one to say anything about interracial couples, but that Granorg captain literally banged a girl who has a goat body as her lower half. Gross.

  • @usefulidiot227 Don't diss the furries. They are gonna mess you up

  • I started crying when Kiel came back. Dammit, game, why'd you twist the knife in my heart over his death, only to return him in the end?! Now I can't grieve anymore.

  • lol Saving the world then getting pregnant, seems to be the rule in most RPGs I've played,I pretty much expect it to happen nowadays,it seems almost weird in RPGs like Radiant Historia to have go that way,imo anyway ^_^

  • I have to think about this carefully

I have to think about this carefully

I have to think about this carefully

I have to think about this carefully

I have to think about this carefully

I have to think about this carefully

  • what the balls? the Unit is alive!? That came out of nowhere.

  • Now that part 3 is out and I won't be spoiling anything I think it was Heiss who saved Kiel. If it were Stocke Kiel would have definitely have recognized and remembered him. But he'd never met Heiss before and Heiss does wear red as well. I think he did it when he was channeling the power of the White Chronicle and seeing the world that Stocke was fighting for, and wanted to do one last good deed before being sacrificed. This is just my reading of it though.

  • Wow this is a long ending.

  • This game doesn't deserve a sequel

    It's to good for one

  • @Azal8522 I kind of know what you mean. It would be so hard for a sequel to live up to this great game. I'd still buy it, if Atlus made one.

  • @HCBailly i would to but probaly impossible to make a sequel to this (unless it sucked)

  • @Azal8522 I agree. Maybe a console remake, though. That'd be kinda nice.

  • @Azal8522 yea, plus from my experience sequels tend 2 fall short of the original, sort of cheapening it

  • Curse you... This just makes too many people want the third part now!

  • wait, I been wondering this, is there a good and a bad ending? Ain't one of the paths at the start of the game ya picked to join Rosch, or Heist? I know you go between the two paths to get to other parts, but I'm wondering if they is a evil ending to the game.

  • Text error at 6:32. There's a comma in Elm's ellipses.

  • Ending a thousand year problem in 5 minutes?...I'm looking at you FFX!

    And Marco in a relationship? Nah...he was...friend-zoned!

  • This ending kinda tears me up a bit.

  • Why do we teach our children principles that we never follow in real life? How hypocritical can we be?

  • They probably had the music just continuing to make it feel like at the same time everyone is getting better.

  • dont piss off marco or.....he'll heal you to death

  • I'm loving the details with the ending, it feels like you've really changed the world (and you have) by helping people out on your adventure. Kiel and Viola being alive caught me off guard though.

  • Just for a quick overview of the whole prime minister and general position thing, a prime minister is the top ranking government official in a parliamentary style government. Parliamentary governments are something like a cousin to a democratic government like in the U.S. There are a few complexities and things that are different between the two, but this is good enough for now.

So basically it would serve to think of Raul as Alistel's president if you are still confused.

  • @42jemini What I meant was that Hugo was both. It seems like they separated the roles after he was removed from office.

  • @HCBailly I would think that the previous person to hold the "prime minister" position was Noah. Although, as we know, Hugo assumed his position simultaneously by making people believe Noah was alive.

  • @HCBailly Considering what had happened in the plot that makes quite a bit of sense now. Allistellians would likely be unwilling to place all the power in the hands of one man like they did with Hugo.

  • @luthe25 really funny

  • at 10:12 for some reason seeing Rocsh in his office cracks me up HAAA

  • Never played a jrpg that put this much effort into its ending, and I doubt there is one. That the game really focuses on the world Stocke saved, and not just the Hero and his party, is a testament to why this is ranks as one of my favorites.

  • Teenagers HC, Teenagers.

Face of a thousand ships and all that.

  • HcBailly you did a awesome job with this LP. I'll miss it ; ;

  • @11:34 A "thats what she said" comment would be too easy.

You should get a metal arm grafted on like Rosch, HC...

  • My only problem with this ending is that it means no more Radiant Historia : (

    Fingers crossed for a sequel!

  • @N0rm26 I doubt there'll be one though. I think Atlus themselves didn't believe in this game, or maybe their marketing skills just suck. Almost nobody knows about this game, and those who do are having a hard time getting their hands on it. It was never brought to Europe either.

I'm afraid Radiant Historia is destined to go down in gaming history as one of those underrated, unknown gems.

  • @N0rm26

it seem pretty well recieved, and according to a comment from a earlier video, some Gamestop's started running out of this game after the Let's Play had gone on for a while.

so maybe, just maybe, they got the message.

  • Next time on Let's Play Radiant Historia, part #88: Some Serious Shit

  • OH god. I'm sweating from my eyes again. *Cries manly tears of sadness* O_O Be strong Kieran be strong!

  • My guess on Kiel is that Stocke, as part of the protective force over the lands, used the power of Historia and Mana to rescue Kiel and the others from their fates, but since he was no longer 'alive', Kiel and the others forgot who he was the moment he faded back. That's as good of a guess as any.

  • Stocke could have just done that right before the ritual. Did know one else find it odd that he goes back in time to save other people but for Kiel he didn't? I guess he couldn't return them earlier due to that it may mess up future events.

  • Ahh... it still so funny seeing HC get estatic over Japanese culture!

Yes, Marco only had a crush on her but to me it seemed he knew her for a while. Like at least had several conversations with her. In Japan, your lucky that at the end of a romantic movie they kiss.

  • maybe I'm not getting it, but didn't the sacrifice cost a soul to complete? Stocke gave his soul back if the ritual was completed so.... How is he still alive???

  • @Mastamynd02 You'll see in the next part.

  • @JanusHoW For the record I had already beaten the game before, just wanted to get some suspense building up lol.

  • To me Raynie's ending felt really cruel. That's the one that got to me the most. Viola and Kiel being alive were close behind.

  • Kiel's alive! *tears of happiness* He was always my favorite character. And I would hate to have Rosch as a father in law. He'd terrify me constantly...

  • So did they just not flat out call it the Mana Tree because of worries about copyright infringement or something because they all but said it.

I'll be honest I never cried at that one scene in FF7 but this ending does get me choked up, it's probably a mixture of things being both happy and sad at the same time, I've had quite a lot of that in my life, like most people probably have I guess.

  • Random question, HCBaily what was the last MTG set you played?

  • Is there a true, nomal and bad ending in this game?

  • @animalchemist There are several bad endings, as I'm sure you're aware. There's only one ending, but the more important sidequests you do, the more of it you unlock.

  • omg , they hinted the next radient historia game with aht, garland , elm and ricky stopping the desertifcation!

    I'm just jacking with ya!

  • I love how we get to hear a bunch of the music from the game at the end.

  • Rosch and Sonja are the greatest couple ever. Something about that whole ordeal Rosch faces in Chapter 3(ish), it's not like anything specific but for some reason I felt like I could identify with it so much. Maybe I'm just old.

  • @NintendoCapriSun They are certainly had an interesting relationship to say the least. *Is looking as Rosch's Ability side quest*

  • I could imagine how it would be with a bunch of little Stockes running around...

Raynie: Would you like milk or juice Stocke Jr.?

Stocke Jr.: *thinks to self (The drink I choose could effect the entire out-come of my life...I have to think on this carefully...)* Juice

Raynie: Here you go, son! *gives Stocke Jr. Juice*

*bad music* Unfortunately, Because Stocke Jr. drank juice, he never got the proper calcium needed to grow big and strong.

    "GOT MILK"

    FIN

  • @luthe25 Better than the decision making about who will watch the fire.

  • @luthe25 It could go the other way to. Replace calcium with Vitamin C :D

    Scurvy

    FIN

  • @luthe25 Epic comment

  • @luthe25 HAHAHAHAHAHA! that was brilliant man BRILLIANT! XD

  • Marco is totally the unstable type that goes postal when you push him too far.

  • If they make a Radiant Historia 2 id like to see kiel a Party member he just looks like he would make a good one:)

  • Oh man!! I really missed a lot of these ending scenes back when I finished the game, the only scene I got is the scene with Gafka and those kids there in Forgia.

  • HCBailly on a roll 3 times now that have gotten to me just from watching or playing along. This game twice and Terranigma.

  • Loved this LP. also, the thought of Rosch doing paper work makes me laugh for some reason.

  • I feel like Elm should have a picture. :|

  • Next stop, manly tears. Population: Me :(

  • A Question HCBailly: If the final battle was in Historia and it was destroyed, how can Teo & Lippti be in the ending?

  • @pious83 Historia wasn't destroyed. Apocrypha was the emotions and energy of all the previous Sacrifices combined with Heiss. The final battle just took place in Historia because hey it looks cool.

  • @HardToFindGoodNames But he was a load bearing boss and everything was collapsing afterwards...

  • @pious83 No he wasn't. Nothing collapsed either.

  • @pious83 I think that the final battle took PLACE in Historia, and that Stocke & co. fought against the previous sacrifices who were angry/unhappy with their sacrifice, as part of Apocrypha. So, they didn't destroy Historia... (Maybe, if they became part of the Earth/Flux/Historia, it's like parts of it being pulled due to hate-magnetism?)

  • Ah damn it.... Whats that song at 6:16! I feel like a nerd asking.

  • @Secret0Keeper Where the Wind and Feathers Return.

  • "Remember that I told you to remember that for later? Well, it's later now"

Yes, a good 80 episodes later XP

  • I really hope they do make a Radiant Historia 2 for the 3DS. Would be so amazing! Maybe its one of the "over 200 titles" being developed? xD They did say a lot were 3rd party so... o.o

  • HCBailly: I'm not going to say anything about the Sword-Dancing thing...

*mere seconds later, he says something about it*

Haha, HCBailly, never change. I really enjoyed this LP! I'm playing through the game right now.

  • Rosch is going to rule with an ion fist.

    ...get it?

  • 15:30 Well, that's what happens when men come back from war. Ever heard of the Baby Boom? Same principle. The sudden peace... Everyone's re-united... It's time to do it like bunnies, and the results follow naturally.

  • With end of this video with Kiel....

    I have 2 therories:

1: Stocke after being used as a sacrifice lives on as a memory in the White Chronicle meaning he can go to any when he wants changing stuff as he sees fit so he uses the Chronicle to save Kiel and the others.

Or 2: Eruca didn't sacrifice Stocke's whole soul leaving him with a mere fragment of a soul allowing him to live on and same thing Stocke uses the Chronicle to save Kiel and others.

    Both seem equally possible...

  • @Shad0wM4nt1s just wait

  • Rosch's one weakness, Paperwork!

  • I'm still going to say that the Conut researcher's kids ARE Lippi and Teo, or perhaps their successors, and if there's ever a sequel, it will be about them and trying to use their father's research to end the desertification once and for all.

  • i wonder if there will be a sequel to this game :D

  • I think Rosch becomes General, as for Viola i have no idea, she is the Valkyrie so she probably appears for public appearances because everyone seems to love her, as for Raul's new secretary, it's his previous one's brother (remember she died protecting Raul)

  • Maybe they didn't use crosses for the tombs because of the religious implication.

  • damnit i was SO expecting a "talented with his sword" joke

  • the next part.. I want it!

well.. after wars a rise on the birthrate in involved countries is pretty common... *I think*

  • Aw gee...I'm bawling! T.T

  • @fff9699 me too! So emotional :'|

  • Sword dancing, huh lol

  • plot for Radiant Historia 2 its ten years after and you play as Aht looking for a way to syop the desertification of the world

  • The Kiel ending REALLY got to me. *sniff*

  • @Aregulargameplayer wait till part 3. Be ready to wipe some tears and all that.

Where are Gutral females? What future awaits Half human, half satyros child? Find out next time?

  • @3:28 Hey, Gafka, teach us HOW TO BLITZ

  • @TheShepardSaga you know, that reminded me of Vargas from final fantasy 6. Bergas,in japanese, would be pronounced "Vargas"

  • @TheShepardSaga at least he isnt the least manly Final Fantasy character

  • 7:10

Huh for some reason when you said that I was thinking of FFX.......weird........
