It's so sad. Many years ago my favorite professor and personal friend, a very experienced pilot, was flying his family to a vacation on his relatively small private plane. They hit turbulent weather that the combination of pilot-plane couldn't handle and he and his entire family died in the crash. With John Denver and so many others doing the same thing I wonder why people do this. They seem to be like motorcyclists, it seems almost like a death wish. So tragic!
