  • This song is as good as the not live one wow

  • Love the way ye can barely hear the presenter speak at the start

  • The brother and sister are Irish born...Up the Dubs!

  • And the rosary beads hit the floor

  • Both sets of my grandparents immigrated from Ireland to Australia. Because my mother was Anglican my fathers catholic priest wouldn't marry them in his church, hence I am Anglican.

BUT I will, until the day I die, celebrate my Irish ancestry, because as far as I'm concerned, love for ones country far surpasses ones love for a church.

Call me a protto bastard all you like, I will always love Ireland.

  • No Politics Just music

  • can't hear the electric guitars D:

  • seriously guys calm down they're American from California actually stop being idiots

  • @MultiBassaholic Dave King (born 11 December 1961, Dublin, Ireland) After emigrating to the United States, he was without a "green card" for eight years. King was not able to visit his home or family in Ireland during this time for fear that immigration laws would prevent his return to the United States. This separation from his homeland and his mother is thought to be a contributing factor in many of Flogging Molly's early song lyrics, with many of the songs alluding to King's time in "exile".

  • @MultiBassaholic : Not that I don't believe you....but I'm going to research them a bit--Californians CAN be tricky that way...not necessarily a bad thing, per se..... ;])

  • "United Kingdom"--what a load.

  • Seriously, music has no boundaries or flags enjoy the music, black, brown white were all punk rock

  • English protestant scum? You seem to have missed the whole point of freedom, respect, and unity, regardless of flag. Somewhat ironic how that is the highest rated comment on this off all videos. Please be quiet and enjoy the music, regardless of nationality or religion. Love x

  • @alexminardi you do know the Irish fought for freedom against the English?

  • @TheCannonator : They need to fight harder, til that cursed British flag is short a cross.

  • THANK YOU ! I TRY!

  • @LarryT954 I am what you would call "protestant scum" and I LOVE flogging molly. You, my friend are a typical sectarian b******.

  • Awesome band! If it was on mute then it'd look like they were on fast forward! :-D

  • Next Month Manchester!!!!

  • its weird that Los Angeles, of all places, is the birth place of a kick-ass Irish/Punk Band

  • @JokersSmile82 The lead singer, David King, is from Dublin. The guitarist is the old guitarist from Motorhead. They do kick ass though don't they!

  • i cant really hear the guitar :( but it's still good as hell !!!

  • I´m portuguese but my heart is green just like the hills of mother Ireland.

  • dude, not a lot fo bands like this sound good live, but damn, that was a great performance

  • @yTrichardfailey4 I'd love to see you tell me I'm "Dumb as Fuck" to my face. This is the 1st time I've ever posted on youtube, but you were so fucking stupid that I had to chime in. Most people are dumb as fuck and based on my experience the ones who are that ignorant (no matter what country they are from) do not listed to Floggin Molly. I'm not going to attack your nationality or country of origin...I'm going to attack you for being a pussy.

  • love these guys. they get all into it.

  • my entire family except for some cousins are completley cuban,im currently raised im miami, the party city of america, and I still love these guys!!!!!

  • @MCHAVANA42011 America my friend, two feet in the door with a part of your heart in another country. That's what it is all about, bringing our old traditions together and getting the best out of every others. As an Irish American I'm glad you like this and I would love to visit Cuba someday.

  • Smash! Smash! The IRA! Remember the victims of their bombs!

  • I played this for my old man the morning he died.

  • who the hell is craig killborne anyway?

  • Let's save the last of the American flag people!! REVOLITION

  • @1blackdeath51501 You've got a witness.

  • @1blackdeath51501 just shut up.

  • @YTrichardfairley4 thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it. like you. just keep being ignorant. You can ignore reality, but you can’t ignore the consequences of ignoring

    reality

  • @1blackdeath51501 mate.. stop lookin in ur dictionary and tryin to find ways to sound clever.. Got nothing against america, i mean they have done alot for the world today.. But its one hell of a corrupt country and i do not respect alot of the things your government have done. Im sure there are plenty of wise and clever americans out there.. But i sure as hell know that alot of you are DUMB AS FUCK.

  • @YTrichardfairley4 most of America is against our government, have you heard of a police state? or an empire? and 90% of ALL people are stupid as fuck, they just go with whatever others are doing, it takes smarts and courage to follow your own path. that's why people that are aware are trying to save America, since the dollar is the reserve currency of the world, if America falls, everyone falls.

  • WOW!!!!!

  • I love how the band stole the show; the crowd drowned his ass out!

  • I agree popotao x x but the song is good not brill x x

  • if your not irish dont even pretend like you don't like it.

  • I love how it sounds just like the album version all too often I hear an artist live, and they sound so different! I'm really impressed, I always liked his voice, and knowing it's not doctored makes it all that much better!

  • anyone else listen to this song and just want to drink and fight? like in a good mosh pit way.

  • @Zach - I played it before my old man's funeral.

  • @roninzhaodai HAHAHAH fucking right on

  • it reminds me of ska for some reason...

  • Fastway RULES!!!!

  • im polish living in scotland but I love irish music :D

  • Irish Cowpunk, yeahhh.

  • @fgcarca hey laddee kick there ass!!!! then they can make fun of u

  • That's the only guy who can pull off rockin' out on a mandolin. Did anyone else notice the drummer is wearing the same clothes in this performance and when they did salty dog on conan?

  • never seen him clean shaven before...

  • The electric guitar could've been a bit louder in this, other than that good.

  • Happy St. Patty's Day!!!

  • God I love David King and I want to have like 10,000 of his babies lmao This is the only way I will celebrate St. Patty's Day, listening to Flogging Molly and smoking with some friends :)

  • @LarryT954 I'm pretty sure I'm both English and Protestant, and I like this song. Does my ethnicity make a difference to whether I like this song? Stupid person.

  • @LarryT954 hooah!!!i know it is a Army thing but still..this song is awsome

  • @LarryT954 And what of Wales!

  • @TheKrazyKurtShow If you cant stand the B.S. of the British crown, then sure Wales !

  • @LarryT954 Okay, now that was just stupid. I'm from Larne, in Northern Ireland and love this music, yet am not very religous, i just reckon idiots like you should stop starting fights.

  • @ZachLimz

Your literally overrated comment was my idea.

Looks much like an older comment of mine... ~.^

  • @Popotao Appears so.. Well, I just wrote what I believe is a common sentiment to this song (It is a song about death and all) I have not read your comment upon writing my comment and I have no control on who rates it. If it offended you, then for what it's worth, I apologize.

  • @ZachLimz

That's alright! I'm actually glad we had the same idea and people liked it..this proves we got the real meaning of the song. :)

  • 14 people need to go back to school and get to like good music

  • it's so hard to gage the energy of a live band from one song, or from tv performances... but there's no hiding away from the fact that these guys have music pouring out of themselves and rock out to prove it

  • i bet these guys there are happy about pakistanis liking this music and buying their CD's. i hate the way pathos is used in modern days.

  • @ramfree27 you have to imagine the "r" in another

  • One of my very favorite songs ever

  • Its funny how people in my school make fun of me because I like Irish music. They can FUCK themselves!

  • @fgcarva1

They'll like it when their ears start workin'

    Pat Savage

  • @ourpat1 haha, so true mate.

  • @fgcarva1 they dont know the beauty irish punk can bring

  • @fgcarva1 i feel bad for those kids where are u from england? lol

  • @fgcarva1 nope, not in England, it would make sense if I were in England but I'm not

  • @fgcarva1 Tell them to KISS YOUR IRISH ASS thats what i do! and it usually works, especially if you scream it at them in a quiet place with lots of people

  • @IrishAmerican1234 I;m not Irish though :(

  • @fgcarva1 Best comment i`ve ever seen on YouTube!

My feelings exactly I am what I am everyone else can either like it or sod off!!

  • @slj79 Thank You

  • @bk11121988 if you dont like this type of music... why are you looking at this video?

  • @fgcarva1 than let her póg do thóin !!!

  • @fgcarva1 People saying that it is cowboy music just because they heart the first few tunes of drunken lullabies and stuff. I know what you are talking about.

  • @ardawen Be proud of your heritage. As white people in America these days we're taught that if we're proud of our European roots that we're racist. That's B.S. Our grand parents and great-grnd parents built this nation, be Proud Of Who You Are!!!

  • @fgcarva1 they can fuck themselves indeed. im only a quarter irish but there's something about celtic music that just riles me up!

  • @masterbasser68 I;m not Irish so yeah... :(

  • @masterbasser68 haha same here ! ;D

  • @fgcarva1 fuckin right! tell them to eat a dick

  • @fgcarva1 They dont know good music, for they are a bunch of deaf bastards!

  • @fgcarva1 No matter what music you listen to, as long as it's not rap. The best music does not have a genre. As long as the musicians are talented, like Flogging molly, then they're good. Regardless of genre. tell them to put that in their pipes and smoke it.

  • Yea, they're good, but all of their songs sound kinda samey, ya know? Like you could listen to an album of theirs and not really know where one song stops and another begins.

They're still pretty good though-definitely make me proud to be even only the part Irish that I am.

  • they sound great live, I love when they came to Memphis. Everyone is suddenly Irish when they come to town :]

  • 0:58 is really cool

  • Beast

  • best is to see them live on stage .. really impressive!

  • my love for this band

  • savage

  • savage

  • Man, this makes my heritage proud! Go IRISH!

  • Irish culture and spunk + Rock and Roll's energy and presence = 100% FUCKIN AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!

  • for y'all comparing the dropkicks and molly. The two bands regularly bounce ideas of eachother and open doors for one another. Many of the songs we love from both bands may not have come to be as we know them had the other band not given their input in production

  • Like the Pogues if they never had touched alcohol

  • David King is rad

  • I will never forget swaying to and fro with complete strangers, covered in sweat, a stupid grin on my face, fist pumping into the air, singing What's Left of the Flag in the dark of Minglewood Hall in Memphis.

Say what you will, but I've heard 300 people drunkenly sing these words, every one of their faces scrunched up with emotion, screaming the lyrics straight from the heart. It was fucking amazing.

Thanks to The Architects, Frank Turner, and Flogging Molly for a night I'll never forget.
