The Trees name is Yggdrasil and there was something about the Symphonian heroes that Colette talks about later in the game with Emil.

Not really sure, think it was because in the end they used Mithos' soul to make the tree or the fact Martel was part of the tree. As both Mithos and Martel's last names were Ygdrassil. I think that might be one of the reasons XD
