The model number is under the battery and if you don't no what custom firmware is you probably don't have it

So, i took your advice and finally, after much frustration and a little bit of tweaking, i finally got my psp to except the new custom firmware 3.80 m33-5 and i gotta tell ya, It worked so well i cant thank you enough. My remote joy still works, my irshell works, everything from 3.71 m33 works so thank you thank you thank you.

It just wont do it, Im using 3.71 m33-2 and im watching all these videos and downloading all these files but the update keeps saying there is something missing and it wont work. I dont know what to do.

Hi I just wanted to let you know the Palm Universal wireless keyboard does work

according to the compatibility list I do not have one

mine is the Targus keyboard

if you want the Palm keyboard to work

you will have to edit the SEPlugins\piKey\PSPIRKeyB.ini

after pikey is installed you will have to change the keyboard line

in the configuration file from 15 to 20

The keyboard will not work in all applications it's still beta

the keyboard works quite well in the web browser or the PSP's XMB

I have a 4gb memory card and the Pikey program started just fine. Are you sure its not just the brand of memory cards?

The new pikey 0.4 works fine with 4gb or even 8gb memoery cards now

I had pikey 0.3 in this video and custom firmware 3.40oe

I am now running 3.90 m33-3 :)

as far as I know It does not work in 3.71 :(

it sucks you could always up grade 3.90 or 3.80

3.90 m33-3 works good on my psp have not had

yeah, but the problem is i have a bunch of different programs on my psp that only work for 3.71 m33, like IRshell, and Cheat CW, im not sure if cheat CW has a specific firmware but still though. will upgrading my psp to 3.90 m33 disable my IR shell?

your ir shell will not work with 3.90m33-3 theres a iR Shell 3.9 Firmware Patch to make it work but there maybe some problems its kind of dumb that

ir shell 3.90 does not work in 3.90 m33-3 it does work in 3.80 m33-5 with no patch so you could just update to 3.80 m33-5 and keyboard will work in the xmb and ir shell 3.90 should work fine

don't think ir shell uses keyboard though

this works on my custom firmware 3.90-m33-2 if you don't have custom firmware or you have the slim psp it will NOT work at all

if you have the older psp but it has official sony firmware you can change the firmware

with pandora battery tutorial google it the problem is you need a old psp with custom firmware to make the battery

Ok if you have ordered a keyboard and it doesnt work... heres the answer why... first of all you need to have a hacked psp. second of all you need to install pikey... pikey is the software that enabels the psp to work with the keyboard.....but pikey will only install on a hacked psp.. so if you need any help message me back...for furhter information

you should google how to turn your 4gb into fat16 by formating it like i did to mine there used to be a guide on psphacking101(dot)com on how to do it using the start/run thing but i cant find it anymore dont kno why cant remember how either it was long time ago would a fat16 4gig work to downgrade if you experimented reply im already on cfm im just a little curios
