  • Great tutorial! PHP MySQL frameworks such as wizzyweb.com can also be helpful

  • Dude, you may know much but you make this so heavy by talking that much. Consider talking only the neccesary.

  • Still waiting for issue #2!!!

  • are you stupid or crazy?

  • mysequel?

    you mean MySQL

    My S Q L

dude i am a newbie and i know that.

sorry to be hatin, i just need to find a video for linux versions. this stuff is confusing.

  • "dude i am a newbie"...

which is exactly why you think that.

    *my *Se*quel

    that's Three syllables.

    *my *es *cue *el

    that's Four syllables.

The programmer is inherently lazy. Gain some laziness and come back and complain.

Me, I use both pronunciations. It makes little difference to me but when you try to correct something that's not even wrong I get a little ticked.

  • sorry. you are wrong. SQL (se quel) is something from years ago.. it is old. not in use anymore. was a database language but i am sure you would rather use MySQL - My S Q L - it is superior technology. you use both pronunciations for MySQL? You use old SQL pronounciation for the new thing? so you are unsure of yourself,,,, right? or maybe you're not. i donno..you donno.. doesn't matter.. i guess.. or does it matter? probably not. nope. wait.. nah no n a o
  • Actually, you're wrong. SQL was a database language developed by IBM years ago. IT was NEVER pronounced "sequel" officially because of some legal thing on a name taken already. People pronounce it however the heck they want so it doesn't matter. Either way you know what I'm talking about.

  • you don't understand.

you can say it however you want but know that there is an official way of pronouncing it.

the thing you were talking about SEQUEL was the IBM language, it was changed or shortened to SQL but still pronounced the same way.. and then MySQL came out and it did not have the same pronunciation..

now people say that SQL is pronounced ES QUE ELL - just deal with it. i have read this in books and online and heard it from pros.

    r e s e a r c h

  • i VOTE 4 "sequel" hehe...and dude..c'mon! who cares how its pronounced... d important thing is you understand how it works! DUH!@.@

  • "The official way to pronounce MySQL is My Ess Que Ell (not my sequel), but we do not mind if you pronounce it as my sequel or in some other localized way. "

This is from the main Mysql web site, by the way.

  • flagged as misleading text

  • what's wrong with it

  • mucho hablas boy, accion es lo que no se ve

  • i am become expert after view this video and need no more books or any thing.

    thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaxxxx alot

  • just strooonnngly wanna say this is video useless!! totally totally....didn't make it pass the stupid introduction!

  • aha

  • its mysql not mysequel and its structured query language

  • very tru, was just gonna say that!

  • It used to be called sequel. Nothing wrong with saying sequel.

  • it's mysql not mysequel

  • depends on who you talk to.. people who know what they're talking about, and are experienced with SQL db's call it 'sequel'; people relatively new seem to call it by its initials. So i guess for you it *would* be mysql, not 'mysequel'.

  • wtf this video is useless witout the tutorial itself

  • I may bve wrong but I thin that SEQUEL originally meant "structured English query language",but then they decided to leave out the word "English", perhaps because they recognised that it was an extremely reduced language compared to English.

  • It's MySequel. I've worked in the industry for the past six years, and I've never heard it differently.

  • what does SQL stand for?

  • Structured Query Language

  • I agree

  • are you mad?

you wasted my time and you were just doing nothing.

  • "MySequel"...hehe

  • is that how you pronounce it??

  • I'm pretty sure it's "My S-Q-L" (not MySequel) jrovang's post says the same thing

  • SQL was originally named SEQUEL back in the 70's before it was renamed. Today SQL is officially pronounced 'sjul'; not S Q L nor Si-kwal, though those are popular ways to pronounce it...

    I love squarl :D

  • It's MY ES QUE ELL... For the love of god!

IBM created the language 'sequel' which was a query language.

There are no vowels in the acronym, usually acronyms aren't given shortcuts unless a vowel is present, or it's a word in itself.

  • Noobs? Do you even know who logan is?

If i stand corrected hes the maker of MOTAS (mystery of time and space) Noob Huh? Lol yer sure.

  • WTH ... is this video just to tease me

I wanted to actually see some noobs coding away... GRR

  • lol, only talking.

  • lol, u are only talking. not showing any coding. lol =P

  • ehm no, now piss off.

  • i don't know.... But this movie is a little about what php is capable about it doesn't tell you how to code in any way... just talks rubbish for 9 mins or so

  • Yeah, i don't know nothing about make connections in Php &MySQL, and nothigt how to do forms in php using dreamweaver, this is my doubt.

  • little introduction the first like 2 or 3 minutes is the intro....

  • are they nuts?? they can't be serious about loggin all the stuff about the users !! This is almost like espionage !!!

  • espionage? well, logging all kinds of stuff might reveal hacking techniques by malicious visitors of the site, espcially form submissions and logging of requests of specific urls.

  • The only thing about it is how pointless what they were doing was - IP address, page views etc. are all in the log files :$

To be honest just seems like an ad for 3dbuzz.

  • way too much talkin ...

  • lol you must buy a php and mysql book.

  • Cool. I started learning PHP at the beginning of may, so far The best thing I've made is a news posting script with a basic admin panel that allows creating and deleting posts. (with a hashed password on the server that it hashes the submitted password and compares to log in and sets a cookie too). Nothing special but I made it on my own so I'm happy :P

  • i learned PHP from these cool movies BUZZ, they are great tutorials, thank you :)

  • really? hm i shall invest in this.

  • This is b.s.!!! Any serious developer sees that this things can not help anyone who wants to do something....

  • ok little kiddies this is what happens when you smoke speed...alot of talking and nothing gets done, there is no 1

  • lol, phpMyRetardTV?

  • hahahahahahah, damn i thought only mine is so slow hahahah

  • guess not. haven't seen any of my recent post yet.

  • is this post getting thru? sometimes when I post, nothing gets posted.

  • My Cql?

    My S. Q. L. for god sake.

  • Where is 1???

  • hey what software did you use to produce this video? e.g. screen capture, mixing, etc. Thanks.

  • where can i get issue #1?

  • nice idea, where can i find this script?

  • I don't know...but i have more movies like this...if you have a gmail address i can send them there...

  • Dude please send me that. Give me a PM if you still available to send it and i will PM my adress. Or maybe you have FTP server?

  • buena idea, bueno para los que estamos aprendiendo, excelente
