  • 3 people can't think for themself

  • I always thought the lyrics said "Go blow your mind someplace, try thinking more if just for your own sake". Recently I found out the lyrics actually say "Although your minds opaque". You see,I have been listening to this album and this song since I first heard it in February 1966 when my mother bought it for my brother's birthday.

  • @BBINGHAM032352 You must have heard it on primitive equipment. That's ok. We all did except for the very rich.

  • @BBINGHAM032352 So it only took you 46 years to finally get the lyrics right...and then you're lucky it's all English. How about the French lines in 'Michelle'? Come on, make my day and tell me how you heard those. Did the Beatles ever cover "Oh Lord don't let me be misunderstood" ? They should have. By the way, the same happened to me with Bohemian Rhapsody, where I heard "Beelzebub has a motorcycle for me" instead of "... a devil set aside ...". But it only took me 30odd years to rectify.

  • @Oldfaithful61 Actually,I think my version of what I thought the lyrics said makes more sense and I like it better too. In the song "It's Only Love".John Lennon uses the word "high" obliquely.

  • @Oldfaithful61 Additionally,in Canada in 1966,we had the North American version of the Rubber Soul album which included "It's Only Love". This is the album the version that I was most familiar with and I have memorized that sequence of the songs contained in it. It sounds more like a folk rock album and I prefer the order of songs in that manner.

  • @Oldfaithful61 somb day mo keif vonte lay bien on somb?

  • @lukefenderrhodes Apart from the 31 spelling mistakes, just perfect !

  • @Oldfaithful61 thanks mo i hope i passed the audition

  • @lukefenderrhodes You sure did. We need a new French teacher over here. May I announce the board of directors that the vacant place has been taken by the ideal candidate?

  • @BBINGHAM032352 i always thought he said " although your minds ok" haha

  • uma das melhores do george

  • adoro o baixo dessa musica

  • was the FUZZ base Pauls regular base pluged into a Fuzz box?

  • @hotvideosist:

Read somewhere that George played another bass guitar as the lead on this song. Inventive.

  • @Ruckweiler73 It's not george, but paul, he played a fuzz bass guitar

  • The most under-rated beatles song.

  • @AdamCKY123 Rubber soul is a greatest album... All songs are like the first single!!!

  • What a lame music...The Beatles are just too overrated...D:

  • @Mentox2 alright, it's an opinion, but is it really necessary to comment that on a Beatles song when all we true Beatle's fans just want there to be peace and love..

  • @Mentox2 Wow, you truly have no taste then...

  • @BL80488 Then i have taste enough not to like Beatles...D:

  • @Mentox2

If you don't like the Beatles, then why are you even listening to them, numbnuts?

  • @ Henryep10 How can I judge the quality of a song, if I did not hear them if I do not give it a chance, I had already given a chance to The Beatles and I did not like, I have at least the right to express my opinion on this matter right? Stop being a fanboy and try to understand anyone can have different opinions and that we should respect them! Thank you. ^ ^

  • @Mentox2 why don't you take your homosexual opinion and ram it up your ass?

  • @JonBenait06 Why don´t you learn how to respect the diferences and try to learn something useful? you idiot.

  • @Mentox2 Alright

  • @Mentox2 sorry but you must be deaf not to like beatles.

  • @beatrixkiddofof And you must be retarded to not realize that nobody is forced to like what you like.

  • @Mentox2 beatles have a colour that isn't seen anywhere before and after. if you were able to see this colour, you would first surprise(like discovering a new land on the earth) then enjoy it at least for a while. if you dont like beatles it means you dont have the taste, ability to let the real music get into your mind and amaze you and also you cant take this kind of complicated perfection. but i wonder what you like instead of beatles(and other music from that era).

  • @beatrixkiddofof I redognize the importance of Bealtes as influence to rock, but i simply dont like the music, its SO hard to undestand this? I Dont Like It. its overrated. i sincerely think currently there is better music than Beatles. and im not talking about Justin Bieber or any of these popstars, im talking about King Crimson, The Mars Volta, Dream Theater, Nirvana...

Sady, you seem to not see even the music can evolve and turn to something better on the future. =/

  • @Mentox2 I don't think it's overrated or underrated, it's fine. No one is forcing you to listen to them. The fans go insane if you criticize one little thing. In my mind The Beatles are in the right place.

  • @derf123hey Finaly someone rational here, i was felling everyone was so protective with BEatle that no one could ever possibly disagree with them. thanks for being a sane voice in the sea of ignorance. :)

  • Fuzz bass........Fuzzing unbelievable...

  • La mejor banda de todos los tiempos.

  • double bass line?!? Some great and still actual advice from George

  • trivia: what is so unusual about this song that is not done in any other beatles song, for that matter very few (if any) rock songs ever

  • the beatles. are absolutely amazing. <3

  • none of them are underrated. no band had and has more exposure than this one.

  • @IceCreamAllTheTime George WAS underrated as both a guitarist and a songwriter in that everyone thinks John and Paul were the only good songwriters in the band.

  • I'm sorry but George is my favorite. It just seems to me that he is REALLY underrated.

  • @drRobert7777 dont be sorry george was amazing! rubber soul was probably the best beatles record ever!

  • I love you George.

  • Fuzz bass! GAHHH

  • i just love the 1:33 to 1:40 bit

  • Bass =)

  • COMPLETELY underrated song

  • George owns it for a second time.

  • Stunning fuzz box intro, first heard this song whilst playing RISK in Bounds Green in 1995. Played it over again about twenty times again and again until a distraction with an attack into Chamkatka

  • marco*polo

    ringo*starr

    rap*crap

    beatles*extreme of bands

  • Beatles. Best ever. Period.

  • another sampling from the world's greatest band.

  • God Bless You Harrison :)

  • I'm imagining John giving you a thumbs up and winking while saying, 'think for yourself'

  • The guitar on this one is 11 out of 10. Absolutely amazing.

  • @marcingrochala1 That's actually a fuzz bass. So weird, right?

  • THE BEATLES HAVE SUPERNATURAL POWERS

  • The harmonies on this song are god-tier.

  • @RuroiniStenchin The Beatles got the tiger in general, if you know what I'm saying.

  • George is so cool.

  • Sounds like '7 nation army' was influenced by this track.

  • @koyunbaba73 O,h yes I hear what you mean.

  • @koyunbaba73 Really? The resemblence I see between this song and 7NAis that they're both great songs.

  • 108271 have viewed this this and 2 disliked? wtf!

  • On Rubber Soul and Revolver George made the best rock songs.

(only She Said She Said rivals them then). Blue Jay Way is a fantastic contribution on Magical Mystery Tour. It almost sounds like an early lament for the end of the Summer of Love. His contributions on Abbey Road are sometimes a bit overrated (McCartney could have made them albeit with less rock flourish) and by that time Lennon and McCartney were making some powerhouse rock songs (Oh! Darling and I want you (she's so heavy).

  • @5theSAMshow5 i dont know that one, how does it go?

  • This is the best album of all time.

  • George is such an underrated songwriter. This song kicks serious ass!

  • One of the innovations that allowed music to move forward. This song has a double bass in it. One is a fuzz bass and the other is regular. These were the type of things that changed music forever.

  • honestly id like to let the beatles think for me.

  • George sounds sick, as if that would affect him, he still kills it haha rip buddy

  • Two people cant think for themselfs

  • ringo's mine ;D the way his hair goes swish swish while playing the drums.~~<3

  • Really guys? Having favorite Beatle is like having a favorite child!

  • @Diamondust14

I know. I can't decide on my favorite.

John and Paul are the cake.

    Ringo is the icing.

    George is the Walnuts/Choc Chips/etc

The cake would taste like crap if one of these were missing!

  • @TylerKG123 You have no idea how much I love your comment, so true!

  • @Diamondust14

Hey, everyone! Like the comment! Let everyone enjoy the delicious cake!

  • @TylerKG123 It wouldn't taste crap, it just wouldn't be quite so close to perfection!

  • @Talisman09

    Yeah. Typo!

  • @TylerKG123

Aww comeon thats a bit biased id say:

    John is the sponge

Paul is the jam / jelly

    Ringo is the icing.

    George is the Walnuts/Choc Chips/etc

Now the cake would definitely taste crap if one of these were missing! :)

  • @Walshy095

I'd switch Ringo and George around. George is probably the icing...

  • @TylerKG123 like this

  • @TylerKG123 I could do with out the icing and walnuts mmmmuuuhhhhaaaaaaaaaahhhhhaaaaa John all the way his fkin boss and ...also paul

  • @TylerKG123

    Think of a Christmas cake:

    John is the dry cake.

Paul is the dried fruit, cherries, etc.

George is the sugar icing and decoration.

Ringo is the marzipan- without it, it may (or may not) be a better cake, but it's not a Christmas cake.

  • @TylerKG123 i think george would be icing ringo would be toppings.....i mean no toppings the cake would still taste good just not as good.....lol

  • @Diamondust14 yeap, but i don't have children so... lol i like them all, but i prefer paul.

  • @Diamondust14 agree t

  • @Diamondust14 When they were working together they were magic. Any separation there was diminishment.

  • no comparison for mr harrison

  • Do you know people that need to here this. I do, but they are so hard of hearing its not worth trying. The message is clear but they will never fess up.

  • The strange thing is, the Beatles got better and better, yet this is their best album .....

  • @RichardHell1959 Yh i agree but i do think that revolver and abbey road r close

  • The whole time i was listening to this i felt like john was staring at me lol ... awkward.

    Love this song(:

  • respect George!

  • 2 people did not think for yourself

  • What would've been the style of dance to this when it was released?

  • no1 thinks for themselves anymore.....we need to all get in our planes and attach speakers and blast beatles music over every town so they know what its like to live!!

  • 2 people dont think for they selfs (sorry for bad English) :)

  • Listen to Paul's fuzz bass line. You can already hear his guitar solo for "Taxman".

  • The Beatles. The best there is, the best there was, the best there will ever be. Amen.

  • This song is so underrated. In my opinion it's one of the Beatles best songs.

  • white shitty stripes nicked the riff

  • @studas2011 phh ...youre gay

  • @dmellowyellow18 you're vague and unoriginal.

  • 1:34 was sung in the Yellow submarine for like 5 seconds

  • 2 people can't think for themselves.

  • This piece of art is made by George and it's therefore a shame that of all the tags, his name is the only one spelled wrong..

It's Harrison, not Harisson. Could'nt help notice..

  • doesn't anyone realize today is his birthday? february 25th 2011

  • @wiisalute Yes, I do. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE!

  • Better than "If I Needed Someone", in my opinion.

  • John Lennon is always my favorite Beatle

  • beautiful fuzz bass...beautiful.

  • First rock song ever to utilize the bass (especially fuzz bass) as the main component of the song. Paul really is underrated on bass guitar.

  • Whats the beatles song with the lyrics "Falling yes I am faliing and she keeps calling me back again'?

  • @xavier1857 It's called "I've just seen a face".

  • @xavier1857 that would be 'i've just seen a face'

  • @xavier1857 i've just seen a face

  • I think this is my favourite Beatles song ever

  • is george like on lead vocals in this or am i just death :s ?

  • @Thecrimson08 yes he is lead, he wrote the song. This song sounds great on the reworked 1999 Yellow Submarine release

  • this is the best song on the album, along with drive my car, nowhere man, if i needed someone, you won't see me, michelle, i'm looking through you, in my life, norwegian wood, run for your life, what goes on, girl, wait, and the word.

  • @InTheYellowSubmarine awesome sir. you get a thumb

  • @InTheYellowSubmarine I LOVE THIS COMMENT!

  • @InTheYellowSubmarine Ahhahah! I agree completely!

  • George Harrison was always my favorite beatle.

  • @Superpepsiman20 same here. Good ears my friends

  • @Superpepsiman20 Personally, they were ALL my favorites. Especially Billy Preston.

  • @sacramentolove

it's always bothered me that they don't show him in the rooftop concert. If you're gonna have the man play with you, you need to at least acknowledge his presence by showing him....

  • @mellamosean Lol, I know right? Without him, we wouldn't have Get Back, One After 909, Don't Let me Down, Let it Be, etc. He's an awesome piano player.

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG!!! WHEN THEY BOTH SING...

  • I certainly hope that was sarcasm.

  • lady gaga is most best! this music iz soooo boringggg!

  • @mikiduta1223: You give a bad name to Lady Gaga. Get out of here.

  • @mikiduta1223

i can't really debate with anyone who is primitive enough to say "most best", "iz", etc.

  • @mikiduta1223

ew i meant to vote down, btw

AND LADY GAGA IS AN UGLY HORSE BROAD WITH TERRRRRRRRRIBLE FUCKING MUSIC.

and your a stupid fuck. If you lived in st.Catharines, Canada i would find you and slice you

  • @mikiduta1223 Haha your are the fucking stupidest person to ever comment on this video!

  • @mikiduta1223 Are you aware of Lady Gaga's extra, superfluous appendage?

  • I do believe that's Paul on the right side on the bass. Virtuosos by today's standards? Maybe not, but they did the best with what they had available at the time. All of them underrated, they were all the state of the art back then, and much of what they did still holds up. So listen in historical perspective or just listen for the coolness, your choice. Like them or not, make no mistake they were the top players.

  • Everybody memorized George yesterday....29th!!!

    ed

    w w w eddy nu

  • I really don't think they wrote their own songs. I am not trying to be mean or lie, I honestly do not believe they wrote most of their songs, and we are fools for thinking otherwise.

  • @BushZappa They wrote every single one of their songs, I think you're talking about the covers they did. They didn't write those

  • @bgwb123: How can you prove what you say? What you say is based on either what you read, saw, or heard, so what is your absolute proof, that The Beatles, or their agent, didn't lie to you?

  • @BushZappa wow... i can sense some resentment... this guy (you) doesn't know what he's talking about...

  • @BushZappa. you do not no what your talking about. How do you base that didnt write their own songs? If someone else wrote their songs they would be known for, people would know him/her. Becuase they were one of the most well known bands of that generation. and still remain one of the most popular bands today

  • Comment removed

  • @BushZappa

Ok then, what kind of backup to have to proove this point? it's a pretty wild accusation. I'm pretty sure they didn't go up to someone and ask them "Please write the greatest songs of all time for us, and remember, write them in four different styles and don't take any credit for them!". I'm convinced nothing like that actually happend. Theres no point in saying somethinglike that on 'youtube.', youre just going to get a lot of hateful comments, and quite frankly you deserve them.

  • @BushZappa I don't think you really wrote that comment. You just 'think' you did, but actually you were just being controlled by your alien butt probe. Remember???

  • @BushZappa their early stuff, 63, was rife with covers but once they set foot in America in Feb., '64, a cover was rare. But you're right, I think it was the Cowsills who originally did "I Am the Walrus".

  • This song defines my life right now.

  • George might be the most underrated Beatle. Either him or Ringo. Obviously.

  • viva john lennon

  • viva john lennon

  • Goerge Harrison was handsome , truly cool and down to earth (well, he did become a gardener). Frank Sinatra called 'Something' the best Lennon McCartney composition yet it was actually be Harrison. Think for yourself, If I needed someone and Blue Jay Way are my favourite Harrison numbers and the first 2 are the best rock songs that The Beatles did until Abbey Road. Harrison probably had more in common with The Byrds in a way.

  • Love this song. Pure genius, George.

  • I've got a word or two

To say about the things that you do

    You're telling all those lies

About the good things that we can have

    If we close our eyes

  • @mizmarymack "The Tea Party Truther" Youtube. P.S. I'm not actually with "The Tea Party."

  • Although your mind's opaque

    Try thinking more if just

    for your own sake

    Good message.

  • Good old Fuzz Bass : great sound ....

  • @disheartedheart go stuff yourself...git

  • @disheartedheart FUCK YOU! you crazy ass mother fucker... how dare you?!

You tea baggers need to go to hell....

    The Beatles would agree lolz.
