idk i did see 1 cross check, i was 8 rows up from the glass and did see that, but i did see draper all over him and weber punched him in the face with no call, but there were so many missed calls that game it was ridiculous. but i wouldnt say because of that that weber should be kicked out of the nhl, he was getting roughed up too

Sadly this may have ended his career. He still han't played a game since this and he's on long term IR. He's great on the PK and we have struggled without him. Hope he recovers though.

I'm a wing's fan but I'll admit there's not one guy on the roster who can really fight. Zetterberg vs. Malkin was just so fucking random it is unbelievable, lilja drops occasionally and then theres maltby and holmstrom who can drop the gloves once in a blue moon and thats pretty much it. btw anyone know what happened to mccarty this season? was he playing in the minors or injured or what? because in my opinion mccarty is 10 times better than kopecky.

Markets such as detroit, where the population is about 10 times as big as Nashville, bigger market means more people watch the games on tv and more people go to the games. bigger markets generate more revenue and thus more to spend on players. Nashville is not just "Nascar" or football. you could look at any team that drafted " unknown " players that turn into something special, look at Rinne, he was a late round draft pick and is the future of the team.

the wings don't buy their talent they barely spend any money at all. all the good players they have other than rafalski and hossa have been their most of their careers and love it so they don't ask for a lot of money. look at hossa, he passed up tons of money to go to detroit. the yankees hand out tons of money and the wings spend just as much as any other team if not less.

The Wings buy their talent but so do other teams like San Jose, Pittsburgh and so on. I hate the Yankees because their owner is so rich and their city is so big that he can afford the cap fees. There are some teams those that have finacial problems like the Predators that can develop players and put good teams on the ice and put fans in the stands but can't afford superstar players like Datsuk or Hossa. They're not as bad as the Yankee's.
