It was my mom's birthday today. At first I was, of course, happy, but then it struck me that she was one more year closer to dying, and there was nothing I could do about it. This song was playing, and I was suddenly reminded that God is all I really need in this earth, even when my mom (and everyone else I love for that matter) is dead and gone. I don't think I'm quite at that stage in my faith yet. I'm 13.
