Hey I was wondering how excatly you created your yellow anacondas cage, if it wasn't to much trouble could you tell me how to create one. I am trying to get one
Hm, that's a tough one. I guess it all depends on how much you fear them. As long as your fear does not cause you to mistreat or harm the snake I guess it would be fine. Obviously, don't do anything that would be outlandish for a beginner snake keeper or ophidiophobic, like getting an anaconda. Go small and get yourself something like a king, corn, or garter snake and work your way up. I think in time keeping a little guy will help conquer your fear so that you can love snakes even more.
Not really. He just gets all pissed and bites the crap out of me when I handle him. Then when he gives up on biting, he shits all over me, so its not really a fun experience for either one of us when he gets handled. And I only had him in that bag because I had no where else to put him while I resituated his water pan that he had wedged himself under.
That sucks. Is he a WC or a CB specimen? Can't give up on handling though. Don't let the snake think that when he bites, you'll just put him back. Keep handling that sucker and break his biting ways.
He is CB. And its not so much the biting as it is the shitting. There is a very rank musk in it that is hard as hell to get the smell of off of the skin and especially out of clothes. (It usually takes 3 washings to completely eliminate the smell out of one musked shirt) The biting really has nothing to do with the lack of handling. But, from what I have researched on these hybrids, they all seem to have the chainsaw attitude and never lose it. Or so I have read.
VERY impressive strike on that! i havent seen good power like that on youtube for a long time.

bassethound1025 3 years ago
It is just a gravel paludarium, with gravel spread thin on one side and thick on the other.
soulstealer9y0l 3 years ago
That sucks. Did you get him when he was big or when he was smaller, like 18-22"?
Dexter103 3 years ago
Well, I am approaching only my second month of owning him, so his size was pretty much the same when I got him as it is now.
soulstealer9y0l 3 years ago
Nice. I've been wanting a hybrid. What's the gender and how big is it?
Dexter103 3 years ago
Its a male and about 4 1/2 feet. I have some video of him up.
soulstealer9y0l 3 years ago
That's him? I posted on that! He's one vicious bugger. Probably due to being in that bag. Do you handle him often?

Sorry to hear it. Will you be getting another one or have you already?
Dexter103 3 years ago
Well, after she died I got a hybrid anaconda which is half green and half yellow, but I may get another yellow someday.
soulstealer9y0l 3 years ago
Amazing how quickly she bit and coiled that mouse. Nature truely is amazing.

I'm sorry, I don't.
soulstealer9y0l 3 years ago
At least you can hold this one and not worry about dying. Just dont let her squeeze too tight lol
Surfer041 3 years ago
I wish she could still squeeze me. She died about two weeks ago.
