  • Did you find that the Clinique foundation made your face TOO dry? Because I have oily skin but I've used oil-free foundations before and I'm skeptical to use them now because the ones I've used in the past made my face way too matte.

  • Hi! I just ordered Clinique Stay True Make up, my skin is very oily, but I have some scars, they're like holes more white than my skin, Do u think Stay True will help me to cover that? I'll buy a concealer paletter too :)

  • does the clinique stay true lastt?? and would u recommend it for someone with acne?? does it feel heavy?

  • @imcoolrivera Hi there. As an adult I still have problems with breakouts around my lower cheeks and chin because my skin is oily. It isn't heavy at all and I adore it. I am waiting to use the foundation I have in rotation so I can purchase this again for the winter. I don't want to buy a darker color right now to fit my self tanning color, but get the lightest color that I adore for winter. It is such a nice coverage. I love it b/c it is matte but not dry, not heavy at all, no oil...Thanks!!!

  • Well I think your makeup looks great :)

  • @ellesprettyinpink Thank you for leaving a positive comment on one of my older videos. I just found it and want to thank you for taking the time:)

  • Lol wow how about just less makeup? Woman always look better that way.

  • @mreastonmurphy LOL, wow how about less lip chat. Women always like men better that way.

  • what type of skin do u have?

Would the EL Max. Coverage foundation suit someone with dry skin. I'm thinking of using it as a concealer as my last step.

Does it cake under the eyes?

  • Sorry, meant to say pea-size was too much. Start with 1/3 that amount. Also great for stippling over "problem" areas. I use it to cover melasma discloration. Closest thing I've found to professional stage makeup. It DOES COVER.

  • To preetypurpal: As far as I know, Estee Lauder still sells this product. Use it sparingly. A light moisturizer will help it blend easier. I used an English pea-sized drop, dappled it lightly all over and blend blend blend. May I also HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Lauder's double wear pressed powder. BEST powder on the market from ANY source. I've used it as foundation when pressed for time. Love it. The combination of the two is fabulous. Good luck!

  • Im a MAC NC30 should i get the darkest shade called medium/deep or would hat be too dark do you think??

    thanks :)

  • just go get that blood vessel lasered :)

  • @loufromlou I have been so lucky. I started using the Baby Quasar Red Lighting Laser treatment from home and it is gone now. I love it:) Thanks for watching this. I didn't realize someone was still watching my vids from so long ago. Have a great week!

  • Hi,

Did you know that there is a laser treatment for permeanent removal of broken blood vessels in the face, I had a spider-vessel-break removed. I cannot remember the excact laser type, but the clinic will know it.

Thanks for the review of the products, it clarified the usage - well.

    Best regards,

    I. from Denmark

  • These all sound like really good tips!

  • i dont want to sound weird but you have very nice features

  • @69Cortesz It isn't weird, I appreciate it very much. Thanks!

  • was going to buy; maybe not lol

  • Hi, Jennifer. May I make a suggestion? I've used Estee Lauder max coverage foundation for many years now. It is HIGHLY pigmented and truly a case of "less is more." A pea-sized drop is WAY too much for an average daily application. I put a dab about 1/2 the size of a match head on a triangular makeup sponge and lightly dot it all over, then blend like mad. It is the ONLY thing that works for me (rosacea and redness)! Good luck - - Kaye

  • @kayeraven hey im really interested into this foundation do the still sell it? i have crazy scars and i am an avid clinique customer and all my foundations have been only from there, do you have any tips or recomendations?

  • Estee Lauder Maximum Cover isn't a "Full Cover Foundation" it is specifically for people with birthmarks, scars etc not for an everyday "Full cover" it is almost a medical foundation just to let you know

  • @spyduhgirl hey im really interested into this foundation do the still sell it? i have crazy scars and i am an avid clinique customer and all my foundations have been only from there, do you have any tips or recomendations?

  • @preetypurpal They still make it, it's been reformulated to have more colours. It's now called Double Wear Maximum Coverage Camoflage Makeup. I would recommend you to go to an Estee Lauder Counter where they can match you to the right colour and ight formulation for your skin. It has a lot more coverage and is a bit more expensive than Clinique. Also the Advanced Night Repair might help with your scars, it helped with my Acne Poc marks. Hope this helps <3 Erin xx

  • its a shame that its so thick. i heard the old formula was light n offered really good coverage. i heard it ozidizes really badly, does it on you? i really like the sound of the full coverage but i heard that its veri peachy n im light n yellow-tone like nw20. it seems to match you well but its darker than i thought

  • The maximum coverage is good to mix a small drop with your other makeup then its not so heavy but it is a great coverage, also I think you need the next darker shade.

  • If you close your eyes she sounds like lady gaga.

  • just put a little water on your fingertips and combine it with the product. The product blends fantastically and gives great coverage without looking mask-like. AND it takes just the smallest amount. Be sure not to use too much. To touch and conceal a small imperfection, use it straight and just use a teeny speck! of the product. Seriously. But the keep is to blend it with a touch (or more water is you want alot lighter coverage. Always remember: a little goes a LONG way.

  • Very nicely for you in this hairstyle!

    VERY!!!

  • omg she looks just like jess from rock of love! pretty skin!

  • Love teh eye liner with your shadow. You are truly easy to listen to. I found you today while I was looking at videos about dark hair to light. I have been with you all afternoon :) I adore your tips about little items, ie the moist makeup removers and how you use them first. I think even when you may not highlight what you intend a small gift is given. Jennifer I am a fan.. thanx again, Julianna

  • i just bought this the other day but i have kind of a hard time applying it.. i have oily skin but this still feels kinda dry until i have it for at least an hour... which is agreat improvement coz i usually get oily 30 min after applying foundation.. is there a brush u recommend using it with?

  • I have been useing this foundation since umm... EVER LOL , and the best way to apply it is with a small buffing brush like the mac 109 and work every part of yourface at a time with a small amount & I really dont recommend applying it with a flat foundathion brush or your hand cuz it will take a lote of time to blind it &will look like you put a paint on youe face which is not cool look.

Hope I could help you :)

  • Btw...[sorry for all comments..]...I just wanted to say...for the Estee...I don't know if u still have it or wish to try it yet...I would put that on with a brush like a 109..But spritz your face prior...with mac's fix plus...I can see why u wouldn't like that though for everyday wear..for sure...Its indeed very thick..its also water proof..isn't it..?--so it really is only meant for like photo shoots..where u might sweat..ect..under hot conditions..The Clinique would def be more practical..imo.

  • You and I both..with the broken capillary..or blood vessel...Btw..i walked around with mine for years..and it was red..Many times, I tried to do something with it...it can be very noticeable at times....Then one day I walked into my dr.'s office--[he was new to me]..I had mentioned it many times with other dr.s and they told me..surgery..ect..All he did one day...was lazer the thing off...its now a freckle..took him seconds..Every now and again though it looks aggravated-but this is years later~

  • Also, i find it shows up big time-when i use a Crm Blush-Can't use anything shiny in that area. So i bought this Clinique-Funny..how i bought this and had that in mind..lol..and I was also looking at the Estee..:?? What's more- Clinique has like 30 textures..as does Estee.-Weird u and I both would think of these two products..Mine is here, i've yet to pick it up..but thought to search here for it. I was wondering about the color actually if it would be ok..swatches aren't the greatest-online

  • cont..

So thanks soo much for posting this..!~ I bought Stay Light-

Btw-There is a special going on right now at Sears for Clinique..spend 24.50 or 26.50 and recieve all of these products for free...I spend my money on this beautiful eyeset..The palette is just awesome looking on line...I truly hope i love it...If u like I will send u the video..Cause i plan to do a review on the products..Everything i bought for the sale..and this foundation..well in my color..lol.. Thanks Again..big help..:D

  • I have combo. skin, when i go out i like having a flawless face, what do you recommend?

  • You want super coverage you should look up Pout Radiant by VS. It's been dc'd but can still find on Ebay occasionally.

  • i have this este lauder maximum cover shade 6 which is medium i have oily skin i wear this and it is amazing on my skin i recomend it for oily skin i live in the uk so it cost arround £23.00.. jenifer has very light skin so the shade she used might have been 2 light but the foundation does cover ne imperfections it does last so u dnt need to reaply it is easier to apply with your hands and u do only need to use a small peas sized ammount mine has lasted me about 5 months so i do recomend it

  • I guess nothing can work on everyone...make-up is almost like getting a bra!

  • But it's not meant for your whole face. You're it's for those spots and that's it. If you have a tattoo or a scar, but not for over the whole face or everyday coverage.

  • It is a foundation for very heavy coverage if you want it. I didn't work as a concealer for me either as it settled into wrinkles. I gave it to some else that could use it. I received a makeover at estee lauder later where they used it and it looked beautiful as they used a little water to dillute, but I didn't realize she was using that. I love all other EL foundations though.

  • did you try the 109 brush? Its meant for bronzer but alot of people use it for foundation nowa days and since that foundation is cakey it might be cause its thick and a stronger brush like the 109 shoulddddd help

  • I used every brush possible. The 109 left soooo many hairs on my face. I had to sit there with tweezers. I don't blame that on the foundation though. I have to do that with any liquid foundation and the 109. I have been in love with the 190 lately as you can see why in my Clinique City Stick Review. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Have a great week:)

  • "This foundation will cover your face and probably all of your friends" Hahaha youre funny Jennifer

  • Yeah, I thought that was funny, too. Thanks for the review. I think I"ll pass on this one.

  • Hey Jennifer! I found your page a few days ago and I love it!!!! I wanted to buy that foundation but when I tested it in the store I noticed that it was too much and also...they don't have it in my shade. However, I bought the day wear plus cream for young skin and the pore minimizer from estee lauder and they were AMAZING!!! I love estee lauder now...I wanted to ask you if you know any foundations that have really good coverage???

Again love ur vlog!!! Good lock with everything!!!

  • I LOVE your hair... thanks for the review!

  • That is surprising. Marlena from Makeupgeektv just gave it rave reviews. I have found my new fav for right now. It is the new MAC Studio Sculpt. I love the gel like formula. Thank you for commenting.

  • Try MAC Studio Finish Concealer! It is amazing! It covers everything! Including tattoos! And they have a ton of shades.

  • Unfortunately, I have and it works for about thirty minutes. I think the MAC's newest concealer is working well right now. I am thinking of having this little red thing lasered or something. Thanks so much for commenting and subbing.

  • Great review thank you!:)

  • Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I truly appreciate.

  • I agree, I use my fingers after washing them really well...good video!

  • Sometimes a brush just cannot do what your fingers can do with some foundations. I know brushes are wonderful and I love my high end and many of my low end brushes, but for some foundations, the fingers just have to do it. Ten years ago, it was either a sponge or your fingers.

  • "that dot will do your face and probably all of your friends" LOL! Great review!

  • It's true. I swear I could do an entire wedding party with one dot of that stuff..lol.

  • I LOL as well!!

  • i am not sure of all the foundations youve tried because i just watched this one video so i have a few suggestions: believe it or not l'oreal true match is very thick coverage and of course less the price of el. also, revlon color stay is thick and lasts all day, of course less than 29.99. my most expensive suggestion is dermablend, it is actually like a kit you buy of shades that are buildable. if i remember correctly it comes with five products. it used to be sold in dr ofc for burns.

  • I have been wanting to try Revlon Color Stay since so many compare it to the MAC Studio Fix. I am looking for a buy one, get one or buy one get 50% off just to get the deal and I will definitely try it then. Thanks for the suggestions.

  • i believe it is ulta that has bogo of revlon this week ends saturday!

    hope this helps!

  • That's a great tip about making it dewy around fine lines. I have this fdtn too and I noticed the dreaded aging effect - aargh! So I'll be trying this. I'm thinking of buying EL Spotlight for this purpose... EL is my fave brand.

So anyway great review, and btw I like your voice x

  • Ooooh...EL spotlight. I just looked that up and now I think I will have to ask for a sample or just for it! Thanks for mentioning it.

  • Just wanted to take a second to say that I am enjoying your reviews. You have such a soothing voice and a pleasant presentation. Great information too! Thanks!

  • Thanks so much for your kind comment:) I hope you continue to enjoy.

  • Great reviews! I've been meaning to get some real makeup wipes. I keep using my babies wipes since we keep them stocked. I picked the CVS ones up the other day, but hadn't heard anything about them so I put them back. Now I wish I went ahead and purchased them!

  • If you get the CVS ones, you may want to look for the square package like I had that says "NEW" on it. They don't leave a film. I use the other ones too in the longer rectangle shaped package by CVS. That has just a tiny film, but I just use those to get the first layer off and then I use my regular cleanser anyway. I was really impressed at how well it removed the makeup.

  • Great review, we love strobe cream. Might have to get a sample of the EL fondation . Have to agree with above your face looks perfect! Are you wearing a blush? :)

  • The EL Max coverage foundation is heavy duty stuff and works well with just a dot of it w/ the strobe cream. It is amazing how only a dot will do your entire face. I was wearing a blush. Well, it was So Ceylon MSF over Fawntastic Cream Colour Base just for staying power. Thanks:)

  • That EL foundation looks pretty heavy duty, but it seems like you've gotten the hang of appyling it, because your face looks flawless. I use the MAC cleansing wipes, but I'm lookin for a cheaper alternative. I might have to look into the CVS brand. Thanks for the review.

  • Thanks for the comment! When you go looking for the CVS wipes just look for the ones that say "NEW" on the package and it a square light blue package. The ones before were in a long package in the shape of a rectangle. They worked really well, but left a film. They doesn't really matter if you will be washing with your regular cleanser afterward, but it has made such a differnce in getting the first layer off. Some of the more expensive brands were not moist enough. I hope you like them!

  • clinique also has a foundation very similar to estee's it's called continous coverage!

and it to will give you the mask look!

  • I am always up for trying new foundations and mascaras. I am really enjoying the supermoisture we discussed a few days ago. I use that on days where I want to be a little dewy and won't be using frosty eyeshadows. When I use frosty eyeshadows I try to use the heavier foundation. I have to do one or the other or I just look to matte like or too dewy and frosty.

  • Hey Jennifer! I just got a sample of that EL Foundation and the MA said she uses it for concealer, so I dipped my qtip in the little sample bottle to just put under my eyes, and it kept spreading and spreading and did my whole face! I also used my fingers, I have every brush out there and I always come back to my hands! I also have broken capillaries--have you ever had an IPL or had then zapped at the Dermatologist? Lisa

  • Hi there. I have never had that procedure done bought have given it thought. I have never looked into the cost, but I probably should because it seems to have spread a bit over the past year. The EL max coverage is great for coverage, but I really had to work with it to get a method that would help me avoid getting those cakey fine lines. Isn't it amazing at how little it takes!!

  • I've tried the CVS ones and teh Neutrogena, and I like the Neutrogena ones better. CVS made my skin feel like it still had residue from the wipe on it.

  • I remember those doing that before. These says New & Improved so I don't know if that will make a difference. I just thought I would mention it to say anyone a few dollars. Thanks for commenting:)

  • Your foundation looks great here :)

I was like..."uh, what fine lines"?!

    Thanks for the info.!

  • Well, thanks for the compliment. Believe me, if only I would have zoomed in...lol.
