Country stopped being country when it moved to the city - period. You can't "fake it". You can't sing about a "juke box" when you've never seen one, or tell a story about a "sawdust floor" or a "good old country fight" when you've played only in theaters and sound-stages.

Clint was (is) one of a dying breed of "we've been there" country artists. He also happens to be one of the best that ever picked up a "gee-tar".
