  • How much kilos do you think is the kettlebell that he uses 32?

  • Not a 32kg i dont think. Id say same as My 16kg one. Cant be sure obviously, just my opinion.

  • um that is not a 16kg kettlebell

  • renzo said that galvao and roger are the same quality of bjj.

  • Galvao is a much more atletic guy he is great

  • esse cara é um fenômeno mesmo, um dia tive a opotunidade de fazer um treino com ele na academia TT no bairro do paraíso em SP, na época o André era fx marrom.

  • Awesome!!! too bad the picture quality is so poor...

  • What's the name of tgat song. Preety cool.

  • This song is called : Watch out.

    Dj : Alex Galdino.

  • awful song,great training...

  • that treadmill is obviously is running in kilometers. its hard to believe someone could run 10 mph backwards for very long. and the ball seems flat. that said, this is a very very bad man.

  • you could give galvao any training program and hed still win, this doesnt look like an effective conditioning session for bjj at all.The amount of balance ball and other instability training wont transfer to the sport and detracts from intensity.

  • did you watch his matches from the worlds? you could totally see the balance balls effect on his game.

  • balance is skill specific meaning performing well at one balance task wont improve performance on another unless very similar.

  • DID YOU SEE THE BALANCE HE HAD IN HIS FIRST MATCH AT IN THE BLACK BELT OPENS?!?!?! im pretty sure you dont know what you are talking about

  • balance is specific to the task your performing. The swiss ball work wont help ground based sports near as much as the actual activity itself or drills from it.

  • the swiss ball seemed to transfer over into his real life ground based sport in the mundials...do you know anything about grappling or are you just some nerd?

  • wouldnt be possible to say the ball helped at all with his matches from watching the vids, hed have won anyway due to his great skills and athleticism.

  • wouldnt be possible to say his great skills and athleticism helped at all with his matches from watching the vids, hed ave won anyway due to the ball

is that what you meant to say?

  • you obviously didnt see the vid of him riding a blackbelt EXACTLy how he rode the ball in the vid.

  • he didnt win the match by balancing on his back,he won it with his considerable skill and natural athleticism.

  • He won because he trains so hard, you can say "natural athleticism" but id say its more to do with the fact that he trained 8 hours a day everyday for years under Fernando Terere.

  • Its not about how many hours a day, if you train two hour effecitive its enough, you must rest also, if you dont you get bored and tired.

But some researcher has said most of the olympic champions have 10 000 hours with training behind when they win and in the age of 22-25.

  • please refer to the interview with galvao recently on the on the mat fight works podcast, he gives credit to the yoga ball specially referencing his first black belt open match

  • balance is not skill specific...where did you get this from? balance is really core strength and a combination of quick twitch coordination. meaning someone who possess these either from natural talent or training will have good balance in everything he or she does. why do you think wrestlers have such a great base?

  • try reading a few textbooks on motor control, there is no general balance ability that can transfer from 1 skill to another.Wrestlers have great balance wrestling not walking a tightrope or surfing.Balance in standing has far more to do with adjustment at the ankle, knees and hips than anything to do with the core.

  • Motor control?! what about it? don't start throwing terms around if you don't know what they mean. Balance in general is one's sense of equilibrium and is controlled through the vestibular system that is contained in the inner ear. Now do these exercises have anything to do with the ear? No, core power is one of the aspects one must develop to have good balance. Working with the yoga ball also develops the adductor magnus muscles as well as the tensor fasciae latae muscle. Go Train, putz!

  • if ye dont know what motor control has to do with balance then you havent studied the subject much. The inner ear is just one aspect of balance. All exercises shown on balls and wobble boards are possible due to the vestibular apparatus along with proprioceptive feedback from the body. The core is one aspect which keeps balance but power has nothing to do with it.The swiss ball has nothing to do with yoga.Balancing on the ball doesnt train the adductors or tfl any more than several other muscles.
