so, i have an ati mobility radeon 4250 grx card, and an amd athlon dual core processor. with this game, in places like the base and in other similar areas i get lots of lag.. when im talking to infantry men and other people i get lag, and sometimes in large areas i get lag. if you would have any idea why that is id appreciate it. if you had any suggestions on what i could do to fix it i would appreciate it. thanks. great vid

I had the same problem, with not so good processor. But when I bought a new one, it didn't have lag anymore. It's really because this game is full of details, and for that it needs quite good processor. Also not sure if your graphic card is good enough? I had Ati HD 4850 512m, and it worked nicely ;)

There are mods for stalker, that might help with the lag issue, but not sure :/

@mikenew1221 no. As FPS game, Stalker is way superior than New Vegas, but it lacks of many RPG elements. You have dark harsh atmosphere, tough enemies and interesting post-soviet world to explore.

@Angsc09 Yeah the stalker series is underated i think. Yeah it has faults and the game is not wrapped up in a pink frilly bow. But i like the games coz its something different. And unlike alot of games these days stalker does not hold your hand all the way through. Your left to your own devices.

wait i have played this game through multiple times... now I have every single weapon pimped up with 60%-70% accuracy, I have all the flashdrives for everything, I have every exoskeleton suit and body armor suit pimped up to the max, I have 100 000 bullets of every single ammo type.... I have all the sepecial rifles which u can't buy... BUT!!!

I'm not sure can I become friends with duty again after destroying their base 5 times over as a freedom fighter... any pointers?

I'm currently trying to do it... destroyed most of the freedomers in their base and around the globe but haven't yet gained any trust with duty.

I have seen that at garbages barricades and at garbages own entrance to the red forest, duty sometimes calls aid for mutant attacks... maby if I manage to go there and only shoot the mutants and continue, I gain my trust back... I try that... man...

I have it on windows 7...I dont have a great laptop 3Gb RAM, 2GHz dual core processor, 256MB Nvidia 8600M. Not great but runs at 30fps near enough all the time on medium graphics setting.
