I also agree with the guy that disliked this I got this game with wave race in a gameboy pocket pack when I was 8 and this music just pisses me off so much I didn't play the game much until 2 years after I actually tried to finish it and I've got to say it was probably the most enjoyable gaming experience I ever had until I played super metroid :)
ah yes, I agree with the guy who disliked this. It's not that he hates the song, it just reminds him of the constant anguish and agony that ensued when listening to it a thousand times over trying to find out where to go and what the hell to do. Keep in mind when we were young and this came out when the internet walk-throughs weren't even thought of. Long live the Metroids.
@HardKore5250 actually my brother, jeren martin is in a band called vangough, they have an album called game on where they do metal covers of nintendo songs, like metroid. right now they are recording a game on II
A song has gotta be special if it's a GAMEBOY tune that ends up being hummed in you head all day at work for weeks.
Really cool to hear it again after all these years. I didn't remember how it went but I did recall from long ago that it was very creepy and unnerving.
how come i can remember every song from metroid 2, but i can't remember one song from any game on the ps2 or x box? why does songwriting regress, as technology progresses? why?
awesome! i think this is by far the best song from Metroid 2. i think the way how the music was put together on such a crappy sound system as the old days of the gameboy had, and made sure that this song would be really good.
reminds me of being frustrated and not knowing where to go.. when i was really young playing this it took a while for me to understand how the game progressed (killing off the metroids in each area) but once i figured it out the game reallly opened up and become very immersive.

First and only Game boy original other than Pokemon I was able to beat. Cool song. I wish they would remix it though.

Oh goody... I must be getting closer to the Spider Ball.
That's what I think when I hear this music. You're nearing something important for your quest.
