  • He looks retard but I laughed so hard.

    We're not all like him ! :D

  • Hamburger is quite the same in French so I don't understand why he can't pronounce it.

  • I know this is a movie, but you hear that a lot of French people from France have a hard time getting the English accent right, more than Quebecers do, for example.

  • herp derp derp nurrr

  • I learnt a French accent from this!

  • @Tiwaking Relax. Its a film and frenches ( just talking about skilled ones ) doesnt have this accent x)

  • @wally4412818 it from the Pink Panther with Steve Martin and Beyonce

  • Who is the teacher ?

  • Non, sérieux, il est sensé être francais ce type. C'est surement déjà un anglophone.

Le francais est tellement marqué sur les R (entre autre) que ca se sent même si on essaie de prendre l'accent anglais

  • what movie is this????

  • hahah two(to)-toi

  • He has not time to learn English, c'mon he has 12 kids! xD

  • Ahahahahahahahahahaha:))

    Isn't this from Pink Pantherr?<33

    Iloveitt.

  • Actually for those who don't know. It is actually easier for French-speaking people to speak English than vice-versa. I speak both languages equally. The French do much better at speaking english, than when an English-speaking person speaks French. Even in Canada, billinguals are mostly concentrated near the French areas. I would like to buy a hamberger! Ha!Ha!ha!ha!

  • @amasonga ahah to true!! I have many of my friends who have come to HK (thats where i live) from france and started learning just 5 or 4 years ago and they speak almost fluently english :) I guess its cos its hard for english/american speaking people to pronounce the french "r". :)

  • @amasonga

I'm not convinced of that. I think there is both more pressure to learn English and more advantage in it than there is to learn French, although it's surprising how many anglophone Quebeckers have terrible French (or say they do - generally they don't dare try it and see).

I mean, I'm in a program in a French-language university in Quebec, and many of the readings are in English.

Or maybe I just want to defend my fellow anglophones... although my French is pretty good.

  • @Nerienea Yep I think you just want to defend your anglophones fellows as you say. I wasn't pressured to learn to speak the' language of Shakespeare' and it took me 6 months to a year to speak it fluently. I found English very easy in comparison to French/Dutch which I already spoke. English is a lot simpler.

To me anglophone Quebeckers don't even speak French, they try though.

  • @amasonga Lets face it: English people don't speak any language ok, and the French can't speak english -.- Ofcorse you have exceptions, but most of them really suck?

  • @amasonga not only for french ppls... for romanian, spanish, portuguese and others...

  • @amasonga True, but the (average) french accent in english is horrifying while the english accent in french is quite fun to hear.^^"

  • i od ik tu byby a ambaga

  • XD yeh it is not because they can not learn it , it is because they are proud of their french and don't even listen good when someone speak english to them. I ISPIK INGLISH A LITTALL.

  • Steve Martin was a HORRIBLE Clouseau! Peter Sellers is probably turning over in his grave

  • It's the pink panther!!

  • I am French living here since thirty years. I think that he has the accent down. i am the first person to find the French accent unbelievably annoying and silly. Why would anyone want to sound like Pepe le Pew?

I particularly love the end of the video when he gets excited and start yelling. it is hysterical.

  • LOL?

  • and I'm 9000 % sure this guy is not French, and 90% sure he is German

  • Steve Martin is American.

  • But this is not a french accent ... according to me (french) it's a german accent.

  • Comment removed

  • well this is the stereotypical french accent

  • french is funny and weird from an english point of view!

  • yea it is..but english accent is WAY more funnier in a good way and such an adorable accent

  • he's american...

  • 100% American!!!!!! 0% Geman!!!!!!

  • I wasn't talking about silent R too, but I swear you, at normal speed, when we talk maybe 30% of our R are silent, I know what I say I'm Parisian =)

but I'm ok, Frenchs will almost always say "ammer" if they're not trying to have the US or UK accent, as every people from every country, when we are talking to a friend we don't care about the accent.... Maybe in that case will I say "ammer" too, but usually, I say "hammer"

  • I'm sure when I speaking with my fiance I'm like him lol.

  • Lol it's funny but every French people can pronounce a H, but YOU can't pronounce a R or a U as we do :D

ps: il n'est pas du tout français! He is not French at all!

  • Uhm, actually the german R and the french R are the same and the U is no problem either. Maybe you thought I'm english?

About the H: Well, maybe they can pronounce it but most of the time they don't;)

  • nope, the german one is more rough, I mean in France, when we talk at a "normal" speed, our R are sometimes silent... but maybe I'm wrong!

yeah, most of the French don't pronounce the H because in French we do never pronounce it! But we can, and I do when I'm speaking English ;p

  • No, the german and french Rs are virtually identical. Tust me, I have french relatives and I speak french myself. And I'm not talking about the silent Rs of course (like in "aller").

Again about the H: When french people say "hammer" for example it sound like "'ammer". if there is an H I can't hear it;)

  • no the "R" french is really different from the "R" german.

  • exactly ! lol!

  • They can't pronounce the "h" because it's not part of their language. I love the french.

  • It reminds me of me when i first came to America very hard but now people don't even think am french. I have THE american accent

  • heh heh cette vidéo très amusante!
